Good move for him. He's struggled since he left us and a bit of instant glory up there will do him no harm. Bit of a come down from Barcelona though.

When your star witness is SKDman, you have a shit case.

We could, and the answer would still be what I and others have said and you'd still be sat there with your fingers in your ears refusing to listen, and we'll still have a Lyanco who's signing was underwhelming but looking a little better than expected. It'd also still be a Sunday with, I suspect, better things to do so I'm off to do those better things. Have a good day.

That's absolutely how it was, and if the details really matter to you, search back through the thread. As CB says, it's a bit of a pointless fight though.

That's been our way for years - buy, develop, sell, repeat. There can be a painful and slow development period - eg Salisu - but quick ones - Tino - or abject disasters - Hoedt - etc etc. The thing with Lyanco is that he didn't feel like the our usual type of investment signing. It felt like a cheap punt which may or may not work out. The reviews from Italy were underwhelming, thus posters who read those, were underwhelmed. So far he looks better than expected, and our coaches may be a part of that.

Yep. There'll be minimal expectation this season. If they go on a lucky run to the window still in touch, then he'll hopefully get backing to give staying up a go, but if the expected happens, he can build for next season.

Yep. Not sure what we're supposed to say/discuss unless it's what a player has done previously.

Someone said Palace have a higher wage bill than us so the question was how do they have a higher spending "allowance" than we do.
-
Good points. Is it as simple as us having been shafted by that dodgy sponsor so not having any major sponsorship income in that period? If not, I'm struggling to understand why we lag beind Palace, Brighton etc.

Seems to be something like that to me. "Working from home" when you have an International break and a chance to work on stuff on the training ground is not the done thing.

Which 90s band are you regretting the last 25-30 years over?

That was superb. Brilliant game too. -

Yep, there is something about opening a new record, discovering something new, or rediscovering something from the past. I love everything from the cover, sometimes they print the lyrics, there's other blurb, maybe a random poster, and then there's listening to the whole thing, not just a track or two. I'm gathering a right random selection, loads of older stuff, newer, bits of jazz, and whatever. Must get some northern soul in there too, always enjoy it but haven't invested yet. -

I'm not sure cd's will have a vinyl type revival, but I reckon there'll be some kind of bounce back. I'm keeping hold of mine for a while to see how it goes. -
He's probably holding out for the Newcastle job when it becomes available in the new year.

I hadn't but just taken a listen. It's decent, thanks. -
The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

Ever decreasing circles CB. You have a good day, and try to get through it without shouting and bawling, you'll feel better for it. -

I get that, but it takes nothing to pop a mask on like the other people around him did. The problem is Boris is an ignorant fucker, as proved by his ignoring direction on the recent hospital visit. -

Me neither. I've re badged it "90's music discussion" in my head. -

Absolutely ridiculous behaviour. Last week he was sitting next to the 94 year old David Attenborough mask less. The man's a fool, but I suspect his "I don't give a fuck about masks" approach is being lapped up by many punters, and won't deter staunch tory voters. -

Bless. Your point wasn't the complex one you think. Whichever way you dress it up, your point was that the public shouldn't be charged with deciding whether to vote for Cox should he be put forward for re election. Its no more complex than that. You support it with a dog shit point that we shouldn't ask the public to determine "specific particular questions about nuclear policy in Kent or Cheshire cheese standards or investment into the justice system for family disputes or teenage knife crime or relations with Ghana." Well guess what, nobody is suggesting we should, and specifics of policy are completely different to deciding whether to vote for a potential MP. I agree, however, that a line has to be drawn somewhere. I also agree that punters may vote on party lines, and yep they may well be disengaged and not give a fuck, but that's the way it is. Flowing from the last point, whether it should be the way it is should be the debate. The problem with your approach is that you've made your point based on how you'd like things to be, not the way they actually are. You've got all frustrated and shouty about the simplicity of my previous responses, but they're borne out of the simplicity of where we are. Sure, there should be a process to determine whether people like Cox are kept away from re election, or even expulsion now. Any process should be party neutral, accountable, and have its autonomy. Until then we can only approach matters based on the actual reality and accept it for what it is, good or bad. If that means people like Cox get re elected, that's the process. Yep, that's our democracy. It's a bit shit in places, don't get me started on FPTP, but it's what it is. Anyways, now I've shown my workings out and still arrived at the same answer, let's agree to differ. Going forward, perhaps have a bit of respect and class, you seem a tad brighter than having to resort to childish name calling. -
Can't see that at all, unless he's desperate to be competing at the top of a lesser league and having a little taste of European football. Backwards step for me.
