Interesting, thanks. The difference for me is that Broja had played regular men's football at a decent league level, and international level. However talented Delap may be, he isn't proven in men's football at any level. I wouldn't pin our hopes on staying up on his talent.
-
I'm not sure why do many people are so excited by his possible signing. Sure, he looks a talented lad, but he's a reserve player who can't make the England u19 team ahead of other kids who don't play first team football either. Compare that to Broja who was playing regular top flight football in Belgium, and for his country. If we signed a first team striker as starter and Delap in a permanent to develop I'd see the point, but if it were just him and/or we got him on loan I don't see the point.

No... hysteria isn't justified and achieves nothing. If it's hot, try to stay cool and drink plenty of fluids. It ain't complicated.
-
Jeez, that's awful.
-
I would have had a face like a slapped arse playing in that team with dog shit service. The kid fed off scraps and I'd be more worried if he didn't look pissed off about it.
-
Him and Antonio up front will be a handful for any defence.
-
Yep. Looks like that's the way we're going. I'd still like a Broja type up top with someone playing off and around him.
-
I assumed it was cos Ralph likes the wider 2 to tuck in.
-
We played Redmond up front. He's not a centre forward, neither is Cornet.
-
Cornet is a winger. Broja is a centre forward. We need a main man up front, and don't play with wingers.
-
Yep. He fed off scraps for ages. No support, poor service. It was a thankless role and it's no wander his head dropped. If we played to his strengths he'd have done a lot better.
-
If Armstrong is the benchmark for what £15m bought a year ago then Broja has to be worth a hell of a lot more. He's big, powerful, has pace, can finish and is a proven international. Personally I'd go all out to get him in - if £30m is the price, I can't think of anyone else we could realistically get who'd offer more.

I couldn't keep inside the lines so gave up and watched in the night garden.

To be fair Del, it was funny...made me reach for my colouring pencils.

I've chipped in purely as someone was labelled a "twat" for saying that they think that the women's game is at a poor standard and has no appeal. There's nothing wrong with that opinion, but everything wrong with calling someone a twat because they have it. Lots of high horses are being ridden on here.
-
Your last sentence isn't particularly helpful. People can have an opinion. I respect your view that the women's game is a credible spectacle, please respect others that they don't consider it so. This is a forum after all.

Perhaps he likes playing left back. It's people on here who have the issue with it, and assume that KWP does. He'd never nail down an England squad place as a right back, but his versatility may just make it happen for him. Ralph may have done him a massive favour, and KWP may be grateful for that.

I wouldn't have posted what Duck posted, but he's correct. I don't watch the women's football for the same reason as I don't watch the afcon or non league football. Basically the standard is low and it just has no appeal. If I was a fan of a team involved I'd watch, but as a general football fan, watching football of that quality just has no appeal. People pointing out the reality doesn't make them a "twat".
