On form, dropping THB for the Man Utd game was the right call. However, dropping Stephens after his shocker would have been a no brainer, but his red card has forced RM's hand anyway. Agreed re the rest of your post. I'm convinced that there is a half decent team amongst our bloated squad, but I'm not convinced that RM knows what it is, or that his approach will get the best out it.

Shit this is boring. He often played CF, it's his main position. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ben-brereton-diaz/profil/spieler/426192

Good lad. No stewards enquiry in football fortunately.
-
Bree is much better than he's given credit for. Certainly not a starter in this league, but a very decent squad cover.
-
All average or better football teams can. We can't.
-
Yep. I can't fathom why TP isn't being integrated. Even if just off the bench he gives us a decent option. 3 forwards with a combined height of about 16 feet ain't ideal.
-
76.5 % No shots in target. 1 nil down. Propaganda football, done badly.
-
Not sure I see that. He's got a lot of players to keep ticking over. I suspect ABK and TP omissions are political decisions, and Wood over Edwards is probably cos he's played at a higher level. You could make a case for any 2 out of SAA, Cornet and Fraser.
-
Yep. He loves them he said, and he didn't enjoy dropping them.
-
It's rare that you and I agree on non football matters, but I agree entirely with your posts here. SoG's post was disgraceful. Shame in him indeed, and there's no place on a forum for posts like that, and frankly, people who post them.

Your feeling of entitlement is running through society. People need to appreciate that we're skint, and that the welfare state should be preserved for the needy only. If anyone can afford a season ticket, they don't need a bit of cash for their fuel - leave the money to be used where it's needed rather than wanted or felt to be deserved.

Lots of wealthy people living off capital will fall outside the income tax system. The right way imo is to have no payment by default, and leave those in need of it apply on a means tested basis. At the end of the day, there should be no entitlement to an annual handout just on the grounds of age. I'm with you on child benefit, but it's a separate issue to the heating money. CB shouldn't be a given either, and it should be on a household income basis, not this nonsense of 2 people being just below the threshold and getting the money. And we absolutely need to save many billions to avoid austerity. I have no issue with starting with handouts to those who don't need it being pulled. There'll get the rest in pension tax relief and tax on pension lump sums.

That's a unique take on reality. It's undeniable that Ralph lost his way and had to go. That he was replaced by worse, and we've not improved on him, doesn't mean that he hadn't been failing.
-
Farmer, just to clarify, you're getting that on 4G rather than 5G?
-
Same. BBD was the obvious choice, and Archer looked like a rabbit in the headlights. I reckon young Tyler would have been more confident than Archer, and he certainly couldn't have done any worse.
-
Absolutely. A decent manager plays to the abilities of his players. These players are expected to play to the ideology of their manager, but he's not equipped to coach to that ideology, and they're not equipped to play to it. He's hanging his players out to dry every week.
-
Yep, and I'm concerned about the lack of work rate across the board. If the players are properly managed, motivated and committed to the cause, we wouldn't be seeing that.
-
Yep. Fraser is a trier that's for sure. I still think BBD may have something through the middle, and if he'd taken the pen as he should have done and scored, who knows how the match would have gone and what we'd be saying about him!
-
How will that help? A DoF wouldn't (or shouldn't) coach the team, pick the team, sort in game tactical changes and subs, make sure we have a nominated penalty taker, etc. That's all stuff for the manager.
-
He's no winger that's for sure, but there's no excuses for the poor work rate. Pains me to say it, but I'd prefer Mara trotting around over there than him.
-
It beggars belief that anyone who's watched is can't understand why he's dropped an out of form CB and kept faith on someone who's played better. It's not complicated. The change of system is long overdue, and with big Lesley in there, you'd hope that Stephens won't be asked to pretend he's a midfielder.

Ha!! Still bloody daft leaking that. Keep quiet and make a decision. That way Russia and Ukraine are none the wiser if Biden tells us to pipe down.
-
The weird thing about Putin's latest sabre rattling was that the public and Putin knew that there was to be a discussion about using Storm Shadows. Keep that stuff quiet.
-
No he doesn't. He agreed to come back, and he and the club agreed how long that'd be for. I salute the lad for deciding that Chelsea wasn't the place for him, but don't kid yourself that the club taking him back was a selfless act of kindness that must be repaid by Tyler.

Surely there's an overlap there. Regardless, the point remains that Starmer ain't a raging Marxist, and that he dealt with Corbyn.
