That still doesn't explain what Isis have to do with a dispute they aren't involved with. Less civilians die in 'wars' when less civilians are targeted and/or where there are less attacks on places full of civilians. Your disregard for these deaths is shameful. I've posted the actual figures. The pound is stronger over the last 5 years, last year, last 3 months, and last day. Trying to rely on a snapshot in time where it's dipped is a bit desperate, and ignores that over sustained periods it's strengthened.

The pound is up 7.28% against the dollar over the last year, up 0.69% over the last 3 months, and nibbled up a wee bit yesterday. Bias getting in the way of facts doesn't make for great discussion.

Yep, although booze doesn't spike uric acid levels as much as people think. The biggest offender is protein, particularly red meat. A big steak is more likely to trigger an attack than the bottle of red to go with it.

Absolutely this. Iran showed their hand and it wasn't enough to do any harm. It's backfired, and that's before the reprisals. The talk of a wider war is nonsense. There is nobody else to get involved in all reality. Israel will do some serious harm to Iran's threat in the near future. That'll leave them to jockey for position on regional superiototy with the Saudis, but that'll not lead to conflict.

It seems that you shout because you want to block out other views, and regardless yours as the only one that matters. Not a helpful or respectful approach. Nobody can sensibly discuss this issue without looking at all perspectives. Your focus is simply that Iran (and Hamas etc) don't what Israel to exist. We know that. We also know that Israel don't support an independent Palestinian state with it's own land. You either don't seem to accept that, or consider it less important than what you want to shout about.

We'll never prevent middle eastern objection to Israel. Israel also don't want Palestine to exist - they don't support 2 states. They steal Palestinian land. The crux if the issue is the need for a separate Israel and Palestinian state. Israel refuse that. They also settle the West Bank. They also detain hundreds of Palestinians without charge. Etc etc. Israel need to change.

In part, yes, but theres a hell of a lot more to it than that. Whatever happens with Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, etc, there'll never be peace if Israel won't agree to 2 states and behave better.

I can't see Saudi getting involved in direct conflict with Iran. Syrian involvement will make it interesting and to some extent a proxy war. Personally I don't see things escalating with other states - Israel can look after themselves with US support behind the scenes.

Indeed - it'll backfire. All this has done is show that Iran can't get past iron dome, and his given Israel a reason to smash Iran. People keep talking about a wider regional war, but with Iran looking a bit shit, I'm not sure who else people think are getting involved. It looks like Israel are at match point here.
