  1. It'll be a reserve team, no doubt pretty much like most above have picked. Out of interest, why have so many people picked squad players but thrown in Rodriguez and/or Jwp rather than any other first teamer? Seems odd to single them out.
  2. There's no obligation to get a structural engineer on any job. He will need building control to pass the job. In doing that and/or getting consent he will need to submit full details of the job. If a steel is needed then he'll need to submit calculations. An engineer need not do that and many competent architects/planners and even some builders will do steel calcs. I've submitted my own calcs (done with assistance) and building control then did their own checks to satisfy themselves. On insulation, yes there's a lot needed but a "u" rating isn't that difficult to calculate and again many competent architects/planners/builders can do them if you can't do it yourself. There really isn't a need to use an architec and structural engineer on any domestic building job of this size - the right person will be able to do it all.
  3. Nobody can you give you price without seeing the site, and preferably the drawings. We could be looking at 1m footings, or 2m. We could be going into clay. What's the new pitched roof being tied to? What's the score with drains? Get a builder round and let him price.
  4. 7 He'll feature. And score. Plus we'll win 2-1 Probably

But you don't know if it was raised years ago. These things were dismissed back then. That said, I do wander if it's really in the public interests to prosecute 30 years or whatever down the line.

That must be Hatch's 64 year old then. This investigation is unreal, it seems that everyone from way back then was at it although many of those named I wouldn't have suspected. Some off the likely candidates (in my eyes) have not been pulled and I reckon they'll be a few more big names before this investigation is over.

Whether that's true or not it's irrelevant if the wage cannot be sustained. The employees had the option of still earning or not earning at all and ultmately made the only logical decision.

That's my understanding. Something had to give - you can't run a business losing £10mil a month. Employees that have had it too good for a long time, both in the private or public sector, have to realise that we're now in a different world and that what happened before can't continue. Their unions need to realise that too. Like Ratcliffe said, this is a victory for common sense.
  9. This will be a difficult game. Fulham are no mugs and Berbatov in the hole will be a test for the cb's and Wanyama. I think we'll scrape a 2-1 win. Perhaps Gaston from the bench with a late winner.
  10. Pap is right on this point. Starting with an open mind on what may have happened its right that no other prints were in the apartment. It's equally right that there is no actual evidence either way of abduction or that her parents were involved in her disappearance. The bottom line is that some people have pre judged views one way or the other. I'm in the "I ain't got a clue what happened cos there's no evidence to support any scenario". There's circumstantial stuff and oddities to argue either way but pap's position is no less credible than his opponents.
  11. Thanks for clarifying. Personally, I find the McCann's conduct (aside of leaving the kids to go out) odd at best. The refusal to answer salient questions doesn't help and I'm concious of the dna and blood evidence. The creation of a media circus and pushing for an investigation is at odds with being guilty. On the other hand, the action against mumsnet and other sites to stop free discussion seems odd. I also agree that the timeline is odd, but I'd like to know what the police now know about independant evidence of the last alive sightings of Maddie. To be honest, I've not seen aenough to support either theory. Maybe Bearsy is right and the cadever dogs picked up the scent of sausages.
  12. Just so I can follow what's going on here, are all the Pap knockers saying that they support completely the abduction theory and that aside of the obvious error in leaving the kids that the McCann's have done nothing wrong?
  13. Top post. Cheers.

There's part of your answer. Tank systems are horribly expensive. We run an efficient combi. Two showers are electric, the other is fed by the combi. We mostly shower and the bath gets light use. We use the George Foreman as much as poss, rather than the oven. We steam veg over pasta or rice etc to use one ring rather than 3 or 4. Our tumble dryer hardly gets used. The house is really well insulated, walls and lift plus really good double glazing. We're about as energy efficient as we can be but as prices continue to rise I'll look to make savings where poss.

You running tank system rather than combi? Baths rather than showers? Oven on lots? Tumble dryer? Non energy saving bulbs? Not using energy saving in your telly? Ours would be much less if it wasn't for the layabout and running a dehumidifier 24/7. Something's amiss in your place.

Our water bill dropped from £80 PCM to £30 when we went to a meter. That's with 3 girls always in one of 3 bathrooms, washing machine on, washing cars etc. Gas and electric is another matter. Think we pay £120 PCM, poss a bit more for a 4 bed semi. That's largely down to a layabout teenager sitting in front of TV all day, lights on, etc etc. 10% annual increase is outrageous and fuel bills will be unaffordable to many.

How does a club persuade an international keeper to come and sit on the bench and risk losing their international place by not playing?
  18. Whichever way you argue this case, there are conclusions and actions that that aren't rational. Why refuse to answer plods questions? The DNA? The blood? Why wash your missing child's scent off her teddy? I defy any parent to say that they wouldn't treasure that scent.
  19. Indeed. Having stayed at these type of family friendly complexes many times, I'd be surprised if someone could roam around said family friendly complex and happen to stumble across a couple who leave their kids home alone. That, the 48 unanswered questions, and the washed teddy are unusual features.
  20. More fanciful than the idea of random blokes roaming around a holiday complex hoping to find kids left home alone while their parents go out for tapas?
  21. He cost us 12m plus wages and isn't contributing. Sell, recoup, and reinvest.
  22. Agreed. Whether his heart's not in it and/or he just doesn't suit our style I'm not sure. Either way, he's had a season to step up to the plate and enough is enough.
  23. This. Fox is clearly out of his depth but I think Guly can do a job at this level, albeit further up the pitch. Hated by the fans who loved Chaplow. We'll finish 7th btw.
  24. Just to clarify. You say "not guilty" -does that mean that the club agreed that you were not drinking alcohol? Or, was this a case of you admitting a fair cop and pleading for leniency?
  25. This. I did ankle ligaments 2 years ago and kept getting odd pulls and strains that come and go. Physio tells me I'm compensating without realising it. I'm managing it with good sports injury massages, kinesiology tape and properly fitted running shoes which suit my gait.
