  2. Richard Hermer as Attorney General is a staggeringly good appointment. He's regarded as one of the best legal minds there is, and is seemingly a very decent person. Very high calibre appointment.
  3. You seem to have ruled out Bednarek leaving. If he goes, then we're a CB short if we play 3 and want cover/options.
  4. That's my vote.
  5. That's confused. The Tories votes mostly went to Reform. If that's not a lurch to the right, what is it?
  6. We don't need 2 LB youngsters who may or may not make it imo. Larios is tiny and I don't see him making it in the PL personally, but Meghoma appears to have it. Is Meghoma likely to extend his deal if he's behind Larios plus the first teamers?
  7. PL level players should excel in the championship. Wood didn't excel there. He's plainly back up though, and I can't imagine he'll offer any less then Lycano.
  8. That's being kind! Essentially it says he's an average defender who gets done easily, has crap close control, can't shoot, crosses without looking, plays only safe passes, they he can do a job in Brazil but that's his ceiling, and he won't make it over here. Very odd move. Some quotes: "Welington has specific skills that make him an okay left-back in the Brazilian league, but this is also his ceiling. He is too poor defensively to make an impact in a significant European league"
  9. They've got one hell of a squad, look at the calibre of their subs tonight. Sadly, I think they'll be fine...then have a few more options in the final. Hard to see past them imo.
  10. Taylor getting relegated in a shite Burnley team doesn't reflect badly on him. He's decent. Shifting that shite and getting these lads in with a profit is excellent business on any assessment.

  12. There's no suggestion we have a deal with his club. He's accepted our proposal. If he's a free agent in Jan, he's not ours til then, unless we sort something with his club.
  13. That was my other thought - left sided CB if we play a 3, or LB in a 4.
  14. 1. "Questioning" was the question. 2. If he wanted to explain, he would have. He hasn't. Respect that.
  15. Manning for sure id guess. I'd imagine Larios, although I think Meghoma only has a year in his deal so it could be him going, or perhaps even both of the youngsters
  16. Yep, and yep. Probably also suggests that either Meghoma or Larios ain't sticking around either.
  17. Probably a rhetorical question from you, but of it's a real one, I'm sure that nobody on here gives a monkeys what the good people of Clacton get from their MP. Their decision, their problem. In so frequently questioning people's voting choice, you are questioning people's rights in a democracy. Only a reform voter can tell you why they voted reform, if they want to, but it ain't going to change a thing as the vote is cast. As has been said, let it go.
  18. And there are many that are perpetually unstable. As defective as fptp is, it gives consistently stable (even if shit) governments.
  19. I think it depends on how labour do and the feeling towards them in 2029. If punters feel then that we need change, still don't trust the tories, and our nige carries on his persuasive to the gullible sales pitch, you never know. The sheer number of votes they've gained is staggering.
  20. Good summary, and yep, labour have little wriggle room. I'm sure we'll see massive cuts in taxable pension contributions and tax thereon saving billions, the reduction in the tax free allowance on pension lump sums at 55, possibly the end of ISA's, massive reform in council tax with some kind of re banding as a minimum. There are definitely things they can work with if they want to, but they'll play into reforms hands so it'll be an interesting ride.
  21. See you in 10 years or so.
  22. The numbers show that it's more like the tories losing the public confidence than labour or the libs gaining it. Anyways, we needed that self serving shit show gone, and thank god they have.
  23. The vote share for what it's worth. No real gain for labour or the libs in the popular vote. The defection of voters from tory to reform seems to have been a game changer.
  24. Yep. Osborne made the point - the way he spoke epitomises why the Tories lost.
  25. Streeting surprised me. He's gonna be a big player. They'll probably have to find him a safer seat.
