  1. Yep. People are finding equivalence that just ain't there. World of difference between outings with oligarchs, the covid corruption, the Truss budget tip offs and subsequent enrichment, etc, and taking football tickets and some shit clothes. Sure, it was unwise from labour and is very disappointing imo, but the reaction is desperate stuff from Tory fan boys and their media.
  2. I can't source any info on it, but the u21 league is technically PL2 I think so it kind of makes sense that players must be PL registered to feature. In reality, the club wouldn't have expected to have been stuck with so many players so this seems more a case of bad luck that we couldn't shift the likes of TP and Manning etc than bad planning. On that, I see that Manning played midfield for the under 21's yesterday rather than Reeves so it may be that we tick some fringe players over in that team.
  3. Ah, forum (ab)normality has returned.

Yep. He doesn't avoid the issues, plays the posts not the posters, and all without argy bargy. A very constructive and dignified poster.
  6. Fraser is the only one of those 3 who is proven at this level. The other 2 may go on to do well, but they ain't proven (yet) at this level.

I'm not sure what you mean. I've not read anything to suggest anything other than the vast majority of people harmed are the Hezbollah ops, ie the targets. If I'm wrong, post up a link. No idea re your first point, but a wider conflict ain't likely to include Hezbollah from Lebanon anytime soon.

I know, I read the news. The targets were Hezbollah ops, that's obvious, and this kind of attack is a hell of a lot more targeted than bombing a packed building to get one or two people.

Bit of conflation there SoG. There'll be collateral damage from this, but it's pretty obvious that the targets were Hezbollah operatives. We ain't getting dragged into this.

Yep, it's proper spy novel stuff on a massive scale. Pager in a deep trouser pocket wouldn't have tickled.

It'll clipped their wings a bit that's for sure, and they won't be reproducing too easily after those pagers on their belts blew up.
  14. On form, dropping THB for the Man Utd game was the right call. However, dropping Stephens after his shocker would have been a no brainer, but his red card has forced RM's hand anyway. Agreed re the rest of your post. I'm convinced that there is a half decent team amongst our bloated squad, but I'm not convinced that RM knows what it is, or that his approach will get the best out it.
  15. Shit this is boring. He often played CF, it's his main position. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ben-brereton-diaz/profil/spieler/426192
  16. Good lad. No stewards enquiry in football fortunately.
  17. Bree is much better than he's given credit for. Certainly not a starter in this league, but a very decent squad cover.
  18. All average or better football teams can. We can't.
  19. Yep. I can't fathom why TP isn't being integrated. Even if just off the bench he gives us a decent option. 3 forwards with a combined height of about 16 feet ain't ideal.
  20. 76.5 % No shots in target. 1 nil down. Propaganda football, done badly.
  21. Not sure I see that. He's got a lot of players to keep ticking over. I suspect ABK and TP omissions are political decisions, and Wood over Edwards is probably cos he's played at a higher level. You could make a case for any 2 out of SAA, Cornet and Fraser.
  22. Yep. He loves them he said, and he didn't enjoy dropping them.

It's rare that you and I agree on non football matters, but I agree entirely with your posts here. SoG's post was disgraceful. Shame in him indeed, and there's no place on a forum for posts like that, and frankly, people who post them.
  24. Your feeling of entitlement is running through society. People need to appreciate that we're skint, and that the welfare state should be preserved for the needy only. If anyone can afford a season ticket, they don't need a bit of cash for their fuel - leave the money to be used where it's needed rather than wanted or felt to be deserved.
  25. Lots of wealthy people living off capital will fall outside the income tax system. The right way imo is to have no payment by default, and leave those in need of it apply on a means tested basis. At the end of the day, there should be no entitlement to an annual handout just on the grounds of age. I'm with you on child benefit, but it's a separate issue to the heating money. CB shouldn't be a given either, and it should be on a household income basis, not this nonsense of 2 people being just below the threshold and getting the money. And we absolutely need to save many billions to avoid austerity. I have no issue with starting with handouts to those who don't need it being pulled. There'll get the rest in pension tax relief and tax on pension lump sums.
