What is wrong with having a contingency ? It is foolhardy not to have a contingency. NA must be given a chance to bring us back up , even if we get relegated.

I CANNOT believe the comments from some people. We will learn a lot from this season. We will get the prem money and we will return stronger.

We have to stand strong as a club. It is times like this that we have to show our support for our manager and players. This is not the time for bedwetters or to capitulate ! We have a contingency for relegation. The yoyo policy will see us stronger next season ! Get behind NA and the team !

Why all the abuse over the summer then ?

I have been consistent in my prediction that we would struggle this season and that last year was about consolidation.

It is proving too be a steep learning curve. But we will learn from this season. Stick with NA this season and we will be fine next season. We are a year ahead of schedule, last year was about consolidation but it took us by surprise. We will come back like a yoyo.

As I said the original plan was consolidation. We did far better than anyone in the club expected. 15th to 17th would have done last season.

Hope you are clam and can read this in a rational manner. As you read this site regularly you will know ther are plenty of people who hold the same view as me over the failure to appoint Hoddle in 2004 and its consequence. As for bringin the issue up, yes it is history, but are you suggesting we ignore history and just live in the present ? To do that would be ensuring that one was blind to the future and is likley to make the same mistake again. Bury the past ? The Dalek will never allow this to happen.

Hoddle was our best manager and rejected by the vocal minority in 2004. Big mistake and still baffles me and most Saints supporters. When you consider the clubs subsequent nose dive, it is little wonder that the vocal minority want to bury their part in this episode. Explains the vocal minority abuse of me as it is something they would like to distance themselves from or be forgotten.

I have reservations and if you had read my posts on other threads you would know that. In essence, Hoddle should have been appointed in the Spring of 2004 and we paid a heavy price for pandering to the vocal minority. Hoddle has been out of management at the top level for some time, to appoint him now would be a massive gamble, but unless we know the other candidates, one worth taking. Having said that I am staying loyal to NA for the time being and I am sure he and the team will turn the corner and pull through !

This will be a hard game against a wily WBA. If we lose, let us hope that we at least put in a good shift. I am sure that the message to the players is to 'dig deep'. My prediction: 3-0 defeat I am afraid.

We don't know. The idea was to support the club in a sustainable manner not just chuck money at the club like some 'flash' owners. I think the Liebherr's are still with us and will provide chunks of money as needed not just for the sake of it.

Lose NC and you will probably lose the Liebherr family, so be careful what you wish for. IMO there are two many panic merchants on this site. We have a long way to go in the season and must just keep giving it our best. Play with out fear. Relegation is NOT a disaster, I am sure we have a plan in hand for such an eventuality.
