I don't think our lack of signings will help us but I do believe we will add to our points tally. Having said that you might be proved right.
-
Yes you are entitled to say that. i don't think we will be relegated. I think we will consolidate our place in the league this year.
-
Difference in what ? playoffs ? automatic or mid table? Depends what ambitions and plans we have for the year. I am not being controversial here, but NA has never mentioned promotion this year as an aim. I think that the plan this year is most likely consolidation. Both NA and NC believe we can do that with the current squad and are biding their time to get the right players in who will commit to the club over the next two or three years. They are also looking for players to develop with out breaking the bank. Just a theory, expect as usual i will get abuse.

It's difficult to make a bad transfer deal when you only make 2 a year !!!!!!
-
On TV in Norwich (which includes MK area). £2million move to WHam reported.
-
To quite a lot of poster son this site, you included.
-
Yes it is a discussion forum and you are free to discuss things that we all agree with.
-
Whatever people say it is late in the transfer wndow now. We therefor have to make the best of what is available and hope that the selling club knocks the price down ie Waghorn. Or we show our hand over the likes Maynard and fork out the money we were reluctant to do earlier in the summer. The third option is to make no new signings, see if we can continue our great start and look again in January if necessary. To some extent the transfer window has bee a bit of a distraction and it will be a relief when it closes.
-
I agree with you, I think we can do just as well with the positive spirit and will power of the current squad.
-
Never mind ! Who cares if we don't sign yet another one of our targets. If he doesn't want to come here that is his loss. I would only ask any player to look at the league table and see who is top ! We have proven already that we have a team that can challenge for the league table and it has only taken 4 games to prove that. Anyway, when we beat Leicester that should persaude a few of our targets to sign before the transfer deadline !

Whatever happens, lets be positive about Waghorn if he is brought in, he may turn out to be one of our best players in the long run.
-
That's why he s worth a punt. Furthermore, he has a reason to improve and make a name for himself at a club like SFC building for the future. Waghorn can also learn from that older wily master Connoly during the course of this season. Now is the time to act and be positive, sign him up !
-
Not always true, that logic. As has been said here, Leicester have bought heavily and those big name stars will obviously start. Waghorn has been pushed down the pecking order. However, he is young and has potential. With the right management and coaching he could be a great asset to the club for many years. SFC are obviously building for the long term, fans need to be patient. If we lose against leicester for example, the last thing we want is the doom mongers droning on about not winning the league as if it is the be all and end all !
-
The more I think about the Waghorn situation the more i feel it could be a very astute signing.
-
This was obviously part of a cunning plan with Baldreck involved.
-
Agreed, we have more than enough in our current squad to achieve our aims this season.
-
I don't believe a word of what Warnock said. We are much more decisive in the transfer market and proved that this summer with the signing of the likes of Cork and others. More than likely we were never interested in Gorks for the whole 3 weeks he stated.
-
If we pulled the deal must have been for a good reason. Probably someone much better in the pipeline. I expect we will be taken by surprise on 31st August !
-
Well, even if we don't get M aynard the current team and squad is more than good enough as proved by the fact we are top of the league. Whatever happens i think we can win this league with our current players alone.
-
Stop being so negative, it's not allowed. Having second thoughts myself and my more realistic prediction is 7-0 to the saints.
-
That is contradictory to the thread title, surely an infraction.
-
This signing would make sense. A bit of a gamble yeas, but Waghorn is young and with potential. I am sure we will get him at at a reasonable price and with good coaching will turn into a real asset. Also, this fits what I believe is the aim this season, namely consolidation and building the team over the next two or three years ready for a push on promotion. If we were in a hurry to get promoted this year we would surely have spent big like Leicester and Wham with ready made quick fix solutions.
-
Back to the football. I think we will win this game a t a canter 4-0.
-
You sound as if you are having some kind of break down. Furthermore your views are so extreme that I am getting very angry and I can only come to the conclusion that you are WUM. What is worse is that you will probably continue to pedal these views over the next 8 years until the Honey Monster is made our manager, despite the fact that this has had nothing to do with the vast majority of sensible posters on this forum. Thngs are getting so bad I may just add you to my ignore list....ok ?
