# No it isn't my prediction for 17th/18th for the ned of the season remains the same. I didn't realise the season ended in September. I can excuse your ignorance on the basis that you are newcomer to the football season.
-
OK mid table say 10th to 15th. I am happy for you to re-live this thread next month, which may show that you and many others don't have a clue, and my prediction of 17th at the end of the season still stands.
-
This will be a tough game and a real test. Win this and i will be very impressed. Think we will lose this one 2-0
-
Maybe a few places higher, possibly mid table, no higher.

NC is going for promotion this season, isnt he ?

The point is are we on the little stopping bus, on a short trip to a dull destination or are we on the National Express cruising to the promised land ? -
Lets see where we are after about 6 games before people begin to count their chickens !
-
I thought all this would end once the season got under way, this is worse than June and July !
-
Both ? or One ? or None ? Thought it would be today, now Monday ? If not Monday next Friday. Hmmm.
-
Yes, a bit of reverse psychology, but also realism. I think people are riding the crest of a wave, but the wave will not last forever. Honestly, we have a decent squad but we are more mid to lower league position than promotion material IMO ! Also, would be delighted with this as long as we are building for next season. Having said that if we did a Norwich I would be delighted but I am not convinced.

Ten Years and still going strong, that's Dalek ! -
Really ? Must have got his SAT NAV on the cheap then because he like many others touted, has not appeared.

'Bald Eagle' ! An excellent player and unsung hero.

I will happy if we secure our place in the current league and still believe that is the most likely scenario. If we manage this, we will have been successful. What worries me is that if we are bumping along in mid to lower table fans will be very critical due to their own very unrealistic expectations. -

Hoddle was the right choice in 2004. Sadly for SFC, the clown Wurzel was appointed and that set the course for our near oblivion. The vocal minority have still not put their hands up and admitted to their part in the near destruction of this club. Time has moved on, Hoddle would not be the right appointment today and NA deserves his chance. -
100% behind Cortese, however, Saints will not be in a hurry to get to the premiership. It is clear that we will build steadily over the next 3 to 4 years. Fair enough in my opinion. If i have a criticism, it is that we should have been more decisive in the summer transfer market.

Not a wind up at all. Survival has to be our first priority and thereafter mid table would be acceptable as we build for the future. We have a long eason ahead and we will see. -
Good solid defender to shore up our defence for the long days ahead. excellent buy.

We are going for survival first, anything above 17th would be a bonus in our first season. Too many people are getting carried away with our first league win against a very average side. -
Yes. This is not the hoddle debate.
-
You all seem very confident of maynard coming to Saints, can't see it myself, dream on !
-
No, just that we should have got the players in early so that we were ready for the start of the season. We will get impression of our ability after 6 games, far too early to hang out the bunting. Anyway, has Maynard signed yet ?
-
Yet more wishful thinking. If we were going to sign anyone of such significance it should have been done in June.
-
More like it. Was told once that Hoddle was going to be manager of Norwich.
-
We have made a good start, which we should all be grateful for.
