  1. LOL. Calm down love. Are you sure it's everyone else with the chip on their shoulder?
  2. Same happened at my work only it was Brighton "fans" right after they moved into the Amex. People who I had never heard even mention football now suddenly buying season tickets and calling me a scummer. They are among the most clueless and deluded fans I've come across. Our champions league, mega stadium stuff doesn't even compare.
  3. Exactly, we live on a relatively small Island FFS.
  4. The commentary regarding Saints on FIFA 12 is testiment to that!
  5. It's hard to know what to think when you hear stuff like this. On the one hand, if this is the case then I think NC comes across as very petty and will also have an unrealistic grasp of football. No one can gaurentee that any game can be won so getting upset about 1 game where we were pretty unlucky is a concern. Come August, it won't matter who won the league. On the other hand, NC appears quite measured and logical in other ways so it's hard to see him reacting to 1 game like you describe above and would be concerning regarding the long term future of any managerial appointment.
  6. West Brom actually played very well under him. The reality of the situation at Chelsea was that he had to do what he could do with the squad available to him against teams who on paper at least, are far superior.
  7. Which was?
  8. Yes it's fine if you realise that something isn't working and it's largely down to the manager. Mostly this comes down to the chairman appointing a complete and utter numpty (wigley, gray, burley, dutch clowns)or not backing their man. When chopping and changing is due to sheer impatience when there was not much wrong in the first place, then it's a problem. Too much is often a sign of a chairman trying to mopp up his own mess.
  9. Very selective indeed. When Arsenal were winning lots of trophies, Wenger had already been at the club for nearly 10 years. And Chelsea have had a largely settled core of a side since Mourinho who have been in many ways bigger than most the managers they have gone through. Arsenal have lost key players in their prime time and time again, mainly due to their refusal to compete with other big teams on salaries. Chelsea have been a declining force in the prem and would be in the Uefa cup if they handn't won the champs league, so their erratic management decisions haven't been a complete success. Very rarely do sides achieve success through choping and changing. It's not some kind of modern revolution. If Real Madrid had done their usual thing by sacking Mourinho after 1 season, they probably wouldn't have won the league this year.
  10. You're thinking small time. Google is massive, no reason why it shouldn't be bigger than Old Trafford.
  11. The main argument for Rodriguez over Hooper is style and stature. If Ricky got injured for any length of time, we would still not have a replacement target man, someone who can win an aerial battle and hold the ball up well. I'd rather Rodriguez on that basis alone.
  12. Manual Fernandez is a free agent. Was very good at Everton a couple of seasons ago.
  13. Clauses or not, it's way over the odds. If we have 14M to spend on a striker I'd hope we would get someone with a far higher pedigree. Sure it's not true but even the 7M being quoted is too much IMO but I guess these prices are relatively normal these days.
  14. Hopefully on the basis that it's bull****!
  15. He was at Brum as well in the semi-final. Ince or Phillips?
  16. You think the club are happy to have a third choice keeper who was awful when sent out on loan to the likes of Eastbourne whilst in the prem? So happy in fact that he has never played a single minute of 1st team football in 4 yars? Why dont you just stop automatically disagreeing with a majority held opinions cos it only serves to make you sound like a right wally at times
  17. Seeing as many of those players didn't make the bench for many games last season, I don't think NA will lose much sleep about leaving them out this time around. And that's of course without us selling players who are still in contract but really are not a first teamer. Can see us having 1 of the 4 promoted kids on the bench for most games next season.
  18. Until I see a YouTube video of him doing squats and shuttle runs, I personally wouldn't be interested.
  19. It wouldn't be completely out of the realms of possibility would it? We have KD and T4P at the mo. To be in position where you have to rely on T4P or a kid in the prem would be ridiculous. Sorry if that opinion is "half baked", embarrassing, arrogant etc
  20. AM was sacked by villa days ago.
  21. Stoke, Reading, Blackpool if they go up. If not, maybe Norwich if they lose Lambert.
  22. We'll have to eventually. Those are fairly standard fee's and wages for good prem players.
  23. Completely agree. And once we have our new stadium, we will undoubtedly have a much bigger crowds than at Anfield.
