I know someone who was at St Mary's when we were in the prem and has been at Fratton Park every season since we went down.

I haven't seen anyone demand that it's built now. Some people have been arguing that there is sufficient data to support expansion already, others have countered it. Simply put, none of us know exactly what the club's stance is on expansion, sensible option is to wait and see but would it be a huge surprise to hear some announcements from the club within the next year? Probably not. As others have said, this debate is all relevant to success on the pitch, something which can never be guarenteed anyway. Does that make sense to you?

Do you not think for 1 second that the club may have performed some analysis and due diligence before discussing the prospect of expanding the stadium? I'm sure there is an element of risk attached to any expansion project but it will be backed up by the appropriate plan and supporting data. Even when St Marys was built, it was done so with expansion in mind. Instead of trying to **** on everyones bonfire, why don't you pop a note to NC detailing all your concerns? I'm sure he's love to hear that you know someone who worked in the ticket office 10 years ago and that you have never encountered a single person who couldn't get a ticket for a saints game.

All true, however, it would be unusual for the club to put something like this in the public domain but not actually have the desire or resources to follow through with it. If not, it's contray to eveything the club have done to date under the new regime. I'm sure they are a little further down the line than just having some nice looking pictures.

Exactly, everyone needs to look forward to the season whatever outcome. We may well end up exceeding expectations or scrapping at the bottom of the table all season...who can say for sure? I don't really care at this moment in time, just looking forward to the season ahead and supporting the players and management as we know that regardless of what happens they will be giving 100% and that's all we can really ask for. If it's not good enough then so be it.

What's more amusing is that you probably mention Saints march to the Champions League more than anyone else. No one has said anything remotely like that from what I have seen in ages and I believe it was only 1 or 2 posters to start with.

He actually doesn't do this to generate controversy like the other presenters do. He is not a presenter, just a poor journalist with suspect contacts. I don't think he says stuff to get a response but rather, is just too stupid to know when to get your gob shut on a public forum.

What a terrible Saints specific thread. It's a shame that people feel the need to start threads which share ideas on the first 11, especially when you put forward a team which not everyone agree's on. I say we just focus on what underpants everyone is wearing for the next season, specific attention should be on the brand, fit, fabric quality and exclusivity. That's what real men discuss on football forums.
