Bull**** that the board are some how blameless, they run the club. Yes, we can always expect to lose players but no team sells off all of their best players and change the manager in one window. It's utter madness.

Or even 6 people for 5M. We are going to be awesome!

We had key positions address this summer, everyone knows that. It's not enough to justify selling our best players IMO, replacing several key players and ensuring we have the required depth will be very difficult. We won't have as good a team next year in all probability.

You don't think he should be given enough funds to buy 2-3 players regardless? Let's face it, I doubt he's had much say in the matter.

No it doesn't and you're right in that regard but I would be more excited going into the new season with the players we already had, ready to go again.

And look forward to the transfer requests every summer? Our success has been built on a spine of players who have grown and improved with the club. Stability in our squad has been key and it's been built over years. Not something which a few bob in the bank will buy.

Considering managers are only around for a year and a bit, it's better to not let a manager build HIS team every 18 months isn't it?

Ultimately it's about seeing the best possible players play for Saints.

The difference is that those clubs have the capacity to improve and build consistently strong squads. We don't.

Why do we need to sell our best players to build squad depth? Surely we would have been in a great position to do that anyway. I don't get the logic.

I think that whoever plays centre forward for us next season won't be as good as Lambert.

No players of calibre we are trying to replace will come to saints regardless of how much we have to spend.

You're right mate, I'm preparing my arbitrary list of dutch players I only recently heard of now to make myself feel better.

Well we simply won't have 70M to spend without selling players. My guess is that they plan to lose one of the big guns and add to the 35M chest we reportedly have.
