  1. Please, please, PLEASE Nigel don't be scared and put cloggers like Hammond back in the team when you saw what our fully fit ATTACKING first XI can do today. The best chance we have for keeping things tight at the back is by keeping the ball like we did today and keeping faith with our current back four. Unchanged and we could well win this.
  2. Don't you realise that a point per game would see us on to 69 points? Literally two extra wins on that would see us onto 75 points and the playoffs. For us to finish as low as 17th we would literally have to collect no more than about 5 or 6 more points before the end of the season. Shut up with the whole 17th BS. You're a huge attention seeker pure and simple with no actual interest in the success of the team you're supposed to support. Its clear to everyone that there is nothing you want more than for Saints to fail, slide down the table and for you to pop up boasting about how right you were with your negative prediction. You suck at predictions, knowledge of football and above all, at life. The fact that you have such a huge vested interest in Saints failing just give yourself some kind of dubious attention is genuinely tragic. Support the Saints or do one.
  3. Could he play tomorrow night?
  4. *rolleyes* yes I'm being totally and utterly serious that we in one unified collective voice should all sing that whilst simultaneously trying to look as tough as possible.
  5. One Tada two tada three Tadanari four tada five tada six tadanari seven tada eight tada nine tadanari LEEEEEEEEEEE TADANARI! (Macarena optional)
  6. Looking ready to Karate-chop Cardiff City's bid for the top two.
  7. Hold your head high son. No-one played well today but you're a credit to the club and a true Saint. We all love and admire your spirit and passion - now turn that to hard work in training over the next 8 days and a win against Cardiff next Tuesday. Time to show us what you can do.
  8. Hooiveld and Fox can hold their heads up high after that performance - as bad as things got and even though no-one really played well neither of them gave up when everything was going against us. Fair play. I personally think that the two players who funnily enough get too little praise when we play well and get too little criticism when we play badly are Cork and Schneiderlin. They need to prove they can be a midfield pair at the highest level of this division.
  9. Depends what for and how public it would be. I'd do it for 3k I reckon.
  10. I'm actually not too worried about Boro to be honest - having spoken to a few fans they're obviously delighted to be where they are but owe a lot of it to edging games 1-0/2-1 etc. kind of like us really. Mowbray (like Adkins) is very good at getting his teams to do just enough to win a game although no denying that is a skill in itself. I think Cardiff and Brum are by far the bigger threats if they can build up a head of steam towards the end of the season. I can't for the life of me see us finishing above West Ham or West Ham missing out on promotion to be honest. Furthermore, I think we should accept the fact that we are overachieving this season - thats a compliment to our players not a criticism, but we should definitely accept that if we aren't promoted its not a disaster.
  11. The jock leagues a ****ing joke and you know it. Why on earth its even mentioned on Sky Sports news as if its any standard of real football is beyond me. Southampton isn't as big a club as Celtic but we're easily no less than equals in terms of team ability. Both Rangers and Celtic wouldn't even stay up in the Premiership. Wigan and Bolton would give them a good game and QPR would p*ss all over both of them.
  12. I'm afraid to say that these strikers all fit into the category of players we absolutely COULD sign over the summer IF we do get promotion, but simply won't want to join us unless that is the case. This is why, even if we come straight back down, promotion would be huge for the overall progress of the football club. We may have to do an up-down-up-stayup kinda routine a la Sunderland/West Brom.
  13. Bing. Morgan's been threatening that all season. Whilst he doesn't score many he has been ridiculously unlucky with incredible saves from oppo keepers and whatnot
  14. This just sums up our season really. Playing badly and getting unlucky and its almost impossible to ground out much more than a point a game. Playing well and getting lucky and we're unstoppable.
  15. The main thing is to not panic even if we're still holding onto a 1-0 with 70 odd minutes gone. Even if we don't score again, we'll win this match by keeping the ball on the deck and out-passing them, which is what we've done so far to great effect. Keep it up Saints!
  16. This is how it should be every single game.
  17. Much better.
  18. Tadanaaaaaari Lee Wherever he may be He plays for the Saints and he eats sushi but it could be worse he could be a skate eating rats off your dinner plate... I'll get my coat...
  19. Oh god yes. I was there and had a great time. But I remember saying on that very day I'd happily swap the trophy for 3 more points in the league and the chance to break into the playoffs. I said before and after the game that in terms of the result, it was as unimportant a game in our entire season. The league is everything. Its the standing of the club. Its the real deal. Cup comps are a bit of fun, but nothing else.
  20. Sooner we lose and go out of this mickey-mouse waste of time the better. Cup football (of any kind) is dead. Period.
  21. Rhodes makes up for the fact that he's playing in league 1 with just the sheer ridiculousness of his goalscoring record. I reckon Spurs will pluck him at the end of this season.
  22. Diane Abbot is just embarrassed that she doesn't represent and isn't in any way in touch with what she considers to be the "black masses" and is trying to pander to them as best she can. Sad that she thinks that this kind of inverse racism is the way to do it, but then when you get idiots like Al Sharpton and whatnot in America who attain a level of power far beyond their own intelligence purely out essentially hysterical "outrage" and as I say inverse racism you kind of understand where she went wrong. But in all seriousness, I can't imagine any black people in Hackney see her as "one of their own" and probably do regard her as a bit of a Bounty bar.
  23. *facepalm* Lambert's good and an important part of how we play but he's nowhere near worth 10 milli. Laugh our way to the bank.
  24. This is the thing. As a whole things aren't too bad, its just the momentum is so going against us (with no tangible sign on things relenting considering injuries and suspensions) that we're in big trouble. I mean if the season's fixtures/results up until now had been in reverse we'd all be over the moon. ...but they haven't. We've p*ssed away an 8 point lead and look like we'll surrender top spot and possibly even drop as low as 4th within the next two or three fixtures.
  25. I actually don't mind Alps - the guys a ridiculous pessimist but he does want Saints to win...just doesn't expect it and is a cynical so 'n' so. Dalek on the other hand is wetting himself at the prospect of another Saints defeat. I mean, don't get me wrong it'd be a shame that Saints wouldn't be promoted...but the main thing is that his prediction is correct. The success of SFC is pale in comparison to the chance to gloat about being right to people he'll never meet on an internet forum. Look. **** it. We've got two weeks with essentially a glorified friendly/practice match (sod the FA cup as a competitive game) - a chance for a break and to get some signings in. We'll see what we can do from there
