At last, some sense...! He can't be a skate... He makes a fair point though, they're just such an attractive purchase aren't they??!!. To think, they'd actually cost a prospective buyer more than it cost Markus to buy us. With us he got a 32k stadium, a modern training ground which we own, and other assets including jacksons farm. I cannot see any sane person taking a chance on them, there's nothing to gain. There's very little chance of a miracle story and it's kind of the equivalent of chucking your money down the toilet. That's why they've only attracted tyre kickers and dodgy owners, and that's all they'll continue to attract. The futures not bright for them, that's for sure - a long, long, long way back to championship football.
-
And he's right in a way, I'm sure players like Dean, Fraser, Guly etc will all be given a chance - but they will not play as much for sure. Wouldn't be great for team morale to just throw them out the door though, as Adkins said it's about squad evolution - not revolution.

That was such an heroic moment, that picture is just immense. Watch it in full flow too....we must block that ball 6 or 7 times. Awesome will to win.

I don't think Zaha is a mental suggestion in all honesty. The only clubs to have made a sustained push for him so far are Bolton and West Brom in the january window. I remember when Victor Moses was still at Palace, and he was being linked with pretty much every big club on the planet. He ended up signing for Wigan because they're the only club that showed the $$$. If we do that re: Zaha, then we have as good a chance as any. Offering Premiership football is a massive pull for most players. -

Simpson's representatives have been 'sounded' out by Chelsea, hence his contract refusal. It goes to show that even if you are on the cusp of CL football, you still can't keep your best players. Newcastle are also linked with Trippier of Burnley, so it would make sense if he's a replacement. -
I remember the fury it created on here before. In the end it meant very little, and it was just a case of a chairman wanting a bit of the limelight..! I don't think he'll ever do it again though. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?31704-Front-cover-of-tomorrows-program&highlight=programme (the image on that page has the wrong programme displaying though...)

West Brom have an agreed first option on him though, he'll stay there. -
In a purely selfish way, I'd prefer Blackpool to go up as they will not be as strong as WHU in the PL.

I think he's only just turned 28, surprising really as he looks much older. I think he'd be good in the premiership, a proper old fashioned winger. -

Surprised Doyle got a start in front of him. -
At a cut price too, I'd imagine.
-
They carry the most threat out of any of the teams. Their wide men will cause anyone problems, and Dobbie is a clever player at this level and always seems to find space. Probably the toughest game WHU could get.
-
If Brum lose this game it will probably ruin them. Surely their only chance of a financial reprieve is promotion this year? I can see them doing what we did/charlton/norwich etc and slipping down another league if they lose this. Not sure who they'd be able to dump Zigic off onto either....
-
How bad does Zigic look by the way? He's 2 miles high in the sky, yet he never wins any headers. £6m worth of dross.
-
lol @ the brum keeper.

According to Alan Nixon on twitter, Burnley want in excess of 8m just for Jay Rod, so that deal is now dead. -

Didn't realise that Trippier was actually Burnley's player of the season, really rated up there. To be fair, we seem to like Burnley full backs. -

In a double deal with Jay Rod. + a player... is/was the rumour. -
What planet are you living on mate? He's not a world class player. I swear you're on a windup.

What pessimists? More realism than anything else.

To be fair that was handy in L1 and the Champ as the coverage was so minimal, we'll be able to see 90' mins of every game we play next year. Whether it's on Sky's football first, Live on Sky/ESPN, or a live stream as there will be one for every game.

FFS! What about the pitch???
