Elliott Bennett looks like he's on the move. That will weaken them massively, without any doubt. It's like us selling Lallana.
-
nah - mod clark is on there too....I'm also a member, but I kind of browse rather than post. Some of the ''Saints are better than anyone'' posts are quite embarrassing tbf.
-
I do kind of agree with you. I think Mackail-Smith is someone that would work so well with Lambo and has pace - which our front line lacks at the mo IMO. fwiw i don't think we'll sign either, we'll probably pickup a loan striker/attacking player after the window closes. And i have no issues with that.

I can see why you **** so many people off on footballforums.net MLG.

Blackpool may not be able to offer him more money, but he has the chance to showcase his talents on the biggest stage for at least 6 months. At the very worst he's a championship player next season. With us, he could still be in L1. I'm pretty sure he said in an interview that he'd never join a club in L1 and would only move for a higher league. I doubt we were ever in with a real chance.
-
He won't play that's for sure. Pointless risking him even if he was back to fitness (he's not yet) He did miss 2009 too, feel sorry for the lad.
-
link? tbf i'd have expected it to have been announced by now.
-
Nah, he's actually turned down Ipswich and is on his way to us for his 500th Medical.
-
TBF leeds united were hardly world beaters in L1 last year, and their fans didn't rate their defence much at all last year - which is why it's all new this season. We're as good as they were, maybe slightly stronger depth wise.
-
I'm waiting for the apology from him.
-
We did, when he was still at Forest. I don't think it ever got to the stage of him coming for talks though. I think it was a bit of a publicity stunt if im honest by Lowe to show that he's ''backing'' redknapp.
-
Onto Mackail-Smith then...
-
Surley we haven't got a chance? He could move to the prem, or top half of the championship.....but if he wants, could stay in L1 with us? I'd love to be proven wrong but i think we're already out of the running. Unless we're offering him an amazing pay packet...
-
I'd have been very disappointed and very underwhelmed if we'd re-signed BWP. He's currently injured, failed a medical at Reading and isn't very good.
-
If you're going by FM figures but yeah - i'd guess at around the 1m euro mark
-
I thought he was one of our better players when we actually played Utd in 09..... but as has been said it was hard for anyone to look decent in our setup back then.
-
Surprised people are predicting a heavier score line than the 2009 game, when we had a much much worse team and manager. We'll lose, but it shouldn't be a walkover for Utd.
-
Keys was probably phoned up by Gray. ''Oi keys - we have a gig in Dubai on one of the prem channels over here, more money, warm climate and no backlash - quit and join me over there''
-
Very true Weston. And it backs up what Cortese was saying recently with regards to ''groups behind the scenes trying to disrupt the club'' You have to ask why? Jealous? bitter? probably both and it's sad that they'll try and pull the clubs name through the dirt - they certainly aren't fans. People are best advised to ignore any postings like this, it creates unnecessary worry and anxiety when it really shouldn't. The club is in a good place.
-
It does make sense and is a great way to work.
-
But he's already made himself a fool with that point as we've already signed Guly and Chaplow this window on permanent contracts. Apparently there will be ''no'' permanent transfers this window!
-
but you're amusing he's left back. TBF I think both of these guys have agendas against the club, i believe that they're either former employees or ex directors, they have a chip on their shoulder because they're not allowed the access they once had. They will most likely still have roots to the club to get team info and the odd transfer snippet, but no one other than the Liebherrs and Cortese will be pivvy to any of the financials or any impending sale of the club. It's pure fantasy made up by bitter, disgruntled people trying to get their own back on their old employee's. Of that I'm sure.
-
Gobern and Doble are only backup at the moment because of the Injuries to Hammond, Lallana and Connelly. They'll be back soon and our setup will look much stronger. and then we'll likely have a bench of - Bart, Seaborne, Butterfield, Barnard, Connolly, Chaplow/hammond, Dickson, Punch/N'guessan now, to me...that bench is mental for a L1 team. Of course the squad will look stretched at points during the season, Man Utd's does sometimes. You can't just go and spend, spend, spend, spend when actually there is no reason to. Our squad is already good enough, we now need the consistency to go with it and arguably buying lots more players is likely to unsettle the team structure anyway, so isn't likely to = consistency straight away.

He's continuing to make himself look a fool with the comment... ''there will be no perm signings this windoiw as the club prepares to go on the market'' Did I imagine Guly and Chaplow?
