the build-up is nauseating. ''pompeys fairytale final'' - with Marc Wilson reading out of a ''fairy tale'' book talking about his team mates.
-
what is this ref' on??? another pen for millwall (as clear a trip as you'll ever see) turned down, when it's right in front of him. huddersfield fan i think.
-
great find
-
but his drop in form since xmas has been dramatic to say the least, and before that he'd only been half decent anyway. His substitute performance against Oldham summed it all up and made AP's mind up imo.
-
agree with that, can't see any championship team temping him away from us.
-
Maybe we did offer him a contract, but he didn't fancy sitting around playing second/third fiddle? after a couple of seasons of first-team football, Poke is probably looking for that rather than just being on the bench here.
-
3m? they'd have to add another million and a bit onto that before we'd even start talking. and what could city offer that we can't? Win a trophy here - or be a player in a mid-table championship team? I think the common sense would point to us being in the best position in the long-run. + with his rovers connections, it's a non-starter.

Jesus christ, not sure if anyone's had a look at POL lately? but there is a thread on the possibility of Roman ****ing Abramovich selling Chelsea and buying them. what.****ing.planet do these deluded morons live on? christ on a bike. ''Roman Abramovich to Sell Chelsea to Ratan Naval Tata - Yesterday, 07:17 PM Now this may sound a bit far fetched but could Abramovich be the interested buyer?? Selling Chelsea and deal to be finalised very soon! AA keeping one party very close, who paid for open bus! Could Avram have asked Roman to buy us? Maybe I am too excited about Wembley and this is a dream? PUP''

He's a cracking pro, i don't remember him having a bad game for us - even in the championship. He wasn't the quickest, or the most mobile anymore but his reading of the game was still premiership class. I wouldn't be surprised to see him retire now, wonder if he'd consider staying on as a coach?
-
White has just suffered his third serious injury, another cruciate - out for 9-12months. Don't know if he'll ever make it back tbh.
-
Lowe gave Forecast a 5 year deal, so we'd have to pay a bit to release him which is such a screw up. Pulis was offered a 3/4 year i think? might be wrong on that one. I am surprised by Lloyd though, i thought he would have made a decent squad player but the reality is that he isn't good enough to take us where we want to go. That list is a huge statement of intent if there ever was one. I wouldn't read too much into the loan players returning either, we may still try to get them in.
-
it makes you wonder where the club got the designers from? guys on the web forums came up with a much better design, not a total redesign by any means - just the obvious tweaks. such a shame that it's too late to change it now.
-
Would expect this to be the case, all the clues seem to point towards this style (+ seeing as it was one of our founding kits!) i quite like the idea, i think it'll look very smart.
-
On another note, pompey have a nice new away kit. (sorry if already posted, couldn't see it anywhere)
-
ditto that. whenever I've seen him come off the bench he seems to inject life into our team and he always looks likely to cause problems. He's never going to be the most cultured of players, in fact he can be pretty random at times - but i think we'd be worse off if we didn't have him as an option.
-
The gold touch is nice, but i agree with pretty much everyone here - the red ''125'' is wrong. The wrong colour and the wrong font. it's just a crest though at the end of the day, it will look so much different when it's on the shirts imo.
-
This ''rivalry'' they're trying to build up is quite funny. I always saw them as our little south coast neighbours; we helped them out every now and then. All of a sudden it's the new great big south coast rivalry. yeh right.
-
Great statement from NC, i was slightly worried with all the talk that he was going to do something silly - but obviously not. Interesting section in the statement, where he states he wants to see ''a good style of play that is compelling to watch''. glad it's all sorted though and we can look forward to the summer.
-
They deserve all the credit for getting there in the first place, and they put up a good fight (didn't see much of it as i was hooked on the PO Semi) didn't ever imagine Baird playing in a euro final!
-
bit harsh, they've both earned their right this year and have done a good job. Whoever wins the final deserves a place in the PL, whether they're good enough to stay there is enough thing though. but what an utter moron with that penalty. I can see him being the first player released in the summer - 1 goal all season and he's a striker.

broke his leg, left ACL and now the right ACL. utter nightmare. i always thought he could have made an impact here. -
3-2 Leicester now. 3-3 on agg. anyone's game.
-
3-1 to Leicester now the playoffs this year are bloody fantastic....cant' take your eyes off them.
-
well that's put that to bed then. thread closed? shame - good bloke.
-
don't think so - i only remember it being announced on the FL Show on saturday night.
