John Gorman as his assistant too. seems like they're cutting costs...you know what happens when you go for the cheap option... maybe we can beat them 4 times next year too.
-
it would just unsettle the entire club and it's a change that we really do not need. It would still take hugue offers, but it would throw some players futures in the air if Pard's did come sniffing. i just want to enjoy the world cup and forget about saints until july!
-
You can guarantee that Pard's would walk straight into a new job and come knocking for our players straight away. it would just mean this season has been a total pointless waste of time.
-
Lescott...? he 'should' be fit for the world cup, still a gamble due to his fitness though,
-
I think 99% of the fanbase support Pardew and want him to stay, but it doesn't look like NC shares the same views. Don't get me wrong - i'm pleased with what NC has done and how he's contributed in moving this club forward, but he is starting to bug me a little bit.
-
That comment came from Adam Blackmore on Solent, after speaking with a 'close' representative of Markus in the directors suite on Saturday.
-
totally spot on, at the end of the day all of this uncertainty was brought on by NC's comments back in February, so he's going to have to end this - and im starting to believe it will be with Pard's sacking.
-
Somethings going on, too many noises to suggest otherwise. Bizarre.
-
Wigan are really a pointless club tbh, i'd hate to be one of their few supporters. In time they'll be back in the lower leagues, days like today prove that they are way out of their depth.
-
even if he did come back into the frame, i wouldn't take him. he has been abysmal for liverpool this season.
-
GK - James, Hart, Green RB - Neville, Johnson LB - Cole, Baines CB - Terry, Rio (Dawson if not fit) , King, Upson CM - Parker (barry if fit), Carrick, Lampard, Gerrard LM - J Cole, A Johnson RM - Lennon, Milner ST - Rooney, Defoe, Crouch, Heskey
-
some or our fans are complete and utter mongs, they have to find something to moan about.
-
opposition wouldn't even get near him in this league, due to his movement and pace - so it's rare he'd get fouled anyway. he'd push for 40+ goals at this level. why am i even debating this?....
-
If it's true, then it must be down to something that has happened behind the scenes that none of us are aware of. I cannot see him being unhappy at our ''Performance'' this season, because if he is it kind of deems his opening statement pointless. ''we need to take time, it will be a slow progression'' - or something along those lines. He looked very happy when he was at Wembley, and took time out to speak to Pards for a little bit up in the royal box. Although at the end of the day it could be as simple as him not being able to fly because of the ash...
-
I was expecting that to be paraded tbh - but maybe they haven't supplied us with a replica yet? who knows, but it did feel like a kind of low-key lap.

''Over the years i've been supporting the Albion there's been a few special players that just make you smile when they've got the ball and do something special, but Calderon tops them all. Absolutely love watching him play football, i think he's the most exciting player i've seen in the Stripes, so composed on and off the ball, plenty of flair, watching his performances he loves playing with the ball to feet and just does it all with consummate ease. The goal against Charlton was just superb. Honestly hope he's still here for a few years to come.'' good stuff

these rumours will not go away until Cortese comes out and denies them outright, as long as the club come out with the line ''No comment'' then you have got to believe there is something bubbling.
-
It was announced on the FL show last night (not sure how much they are in the know) ''There will be a meeting on Wednesday to discuss his future'' not sure what there is to discuss though....he's done a fine job and wants to be here.
-
Cortese was there, was stood in the directors box - 100%
-
Poor IMO. should have scored and completely missed the goal, hasn't improved since he left us. Will hopefully get some confidence from scoring in L2 though, good level for him to find his feet.
-
tbf he was pretty **** for us. His performance v Bristol Rovers in the cup will always haunt me.
-
what a kick on the ******** for Pards, totally and utterly unfair if it happens. Hughes is a good manager, I'm not doubting that - but if we go about replacing him in this way, when there is actually no need, then someone needs to have a word with themselves.
-
which if true is mental. We all appreciate what he's done for us (finances etc) but this season has been far from a faluire. we all saw his huge smiles at Wembley, so i kind of find the solent reason hard to believe.
-
good thread. he isn't going anywhere btw
-
nope, he wasn't there.
