  1. Wouldn't expect anything less from a Sun reader.
  2. We were bloody lucky tbf, but as you say we were a bargain in terms of having everything in place. Training ground, academy, stadium, infrastructure etc - our debts were also pretty modest compared to portsmouths...
  3. I wonder if it'll be a similar denial to this classic from a month back - PFC Statement - ''Al Faraj was not interviewed by the press, his comments are made up - it's all lies. We will consult our lawyers to sue the papers'' 2 days later, PFC Statement - ''It seems as if Ali Faraj did make those comments in the papers''
  4. The 2nd one is a top player, would be gobsmacked if we got him - no chance IMO
  5. still trying to work out why Eto'o and co didn't sign.
  6. Jaidi played 33 games for Birmingham last season, and was part of the reason they had the most clean sheets. Murty was an excellent full back for reading, albeit he's aged a bit now. Hammond and Lambert are 2 star players at this level, harding is a championship quality full back and Connolly is too good for this level. Papa Waigo is a Serie A player - i'm not sure what else you expected from a L1 club? we've blown all other L1 clubs out of the water with our spending and we will continue to do so.
  7. Breaking news - The Portsmouth board are on their way to an urgent board meeting. Pictures just in -
  8. ''Shoes in the airtonight, show your soul. I'll be in the milton end and will start it, please join in or i will feel like a right twit.'' ''Me and my Family will be in FE so will join in. Have there actually been any concrete arrangements for protest. Just want to know and me and the family will be there.'' i can't wait for the match tonight...
  9. jesus, im embarrassed for them. It's like they're being run by a load of work experience kids who really don't have a clue.
  10. Much worse, it's starting to look like there is no way out for them, unless they get bought out by a billionaire willing to instantly pump £50m+ into the club. But the likelihood of that is very slim, seeing that their assets are small and the only real profitable return for any investor is their premier league status, which is hanging by a thread anyway. They're screwed.
  11. Just on SSN, Pompey say that they are ''Suprised by the winding up order, as they believed the tax was all in order'' lol - they just don't have a clue.
  12. We will sign big in this window, i'm certain of it.
  13. But southend's debts were only something like £1-2m, pompey owe £10m...and it's rising every day. Not going to be an easy way out.
  14. at least Pard's is looking high up though.....glasgow saint will love this ambition
  15. he was one of villas best players last night......i can't see that. fair play for AP having high aspirations...but that's probably a little too hopefull....maybe if we were pushing in the championship...
  16. more funny news they still have OVER 10,000 tickets left for the Cov FA Cup game on saturday... let's get down there and show our support
  17. i've seen alot of people say he's been released by boro - but i cannot see it anywhere.
  18. so obviously they still aren't keeping up with their tax payments....even though they came out and said this was being covered a few weeks back, funny. I guess this also means no chance of their transfer embargo being lifted. It will be funny seeing them sell and not be able to buy.
  19. It looks ike they're delaying the inevitable doesn't it? but i still have this horrible niggling feeling that they'll survive, have their debts paid off and get away with it all scott free - it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
  20. He's not done too badly this year, they only signed him in October as well i believe - so his goals tally is quite impressive. But this league is generally poor, and you don't need to be a world beater to do well - a bit of power/strength and you'll do well He'd be a good squad player at this level though, no doubts about that.
  21. Not surprised in the slightest, he was a dead man walking last night - his position became untenable. He's not done a bad job, but his position was always on a knife-edge as Bolton fans never really wanted him in the first place.
  22. You really should have taken up the opportunity on the Arsenal season ticket.
  23. I do see where you're coming from TDD. i've been thinking along the same lines - we could be the stand out team next year. Having Leeds, Norwich, Charlton and us in the same division makes it much harder to get out, it's probably as tough as this league has ever been.
