sounds like lloyd is having a stinker, it's a shame he was moved as he was fantastic in midfield last week.
-
i could have sworn i heard the same too highlight of the game so far.
-
mine has been fine too, connected straight away and no breakups.

should be there today, i have the tickets, but i've put my ****ing back out. never mind. anyway...good news on the davis front, pard's has said he should be ready to play again 8-9 days, and he's training again. that's healed quicker than we all thought it would!

Southampton/Portsmouth,city of culture joint bid!
S-Clarke replied to saint lard's topic in The Lounge
jesus ****ing christ, what smart arse thought up that idea? probably someone earning 60k a year. -
He is only in football because of his dad, if his dad wasn't Tony Pulis he would be in a completely different profession, because let's face it - he cannot really play football.
-
seriously, no chance. hes never going to play again, he cant even walk properly at the moment! as people have said, he's also taken a big insurance pay out - and he'd have clauses in that payout that states he cannot play professionally again, otherwise it's void.

It is a very sad story, he was the one player who i felt could do a similar job to Teddy Sherringham, he was a very intelligent player. There was also another article about him on the sky sports site today, he's got to have another operation on his ankle because he still cannot even walk properly. - but he'll never be able to run or jog again, in his own words. so sad.

Pardew on hospital visit, supporters & players' social skills!
S-Clarke replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
for a moment, skim reading, i thought that said pardew in hospital...! but yeh, that is a good article. - i like what he says about how he looks forward to training at the moment. sounds like it's a great place to me right now! -
******** - i always like having him in the side. We've looked much more solid..

it was always the plan once mariner came in i think. luggy will become a DOF figure and will work ''upstairs''.

Munto Finance v Markus Liebherr (Notts County v Saints)
S-Clarke replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
I agree, i still cannot believe it. I'm also impressed with Cortese, who speaks with sense and realism. TBH i did worry about his health when you first saw his pics back during the Ajax/millwall games - but he looks better these days. -
Munto Finance v Markus Liebherr (Notts County v Saints)
S-Clarke replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Well this has been a pretty emphatic win for markus. it shows we're doing it the right way "Notts County is on the market, Munto Finance are seeking to dispose of the club and are in contact with some potential buyers. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/notts_county/8405269.stm -
interesting, just found the link - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1234340/Under-QPR-manager-Jim-Magilton-faces-axe-headbutt-Akos-Buzsaky-threatens-press-charges.html

something may have gone on in the background, but for a club with supposed ''mega rich'' backers, they are making a hell of a mess of that club. Magilton is their 4th manager in 2 seasons i think. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/q/qpr/8403668.stm

If they come out of the other end of this, with no points deductions or punishments, then football is screwed. They shouldn't be able to get away with what they did. They're not in this position for any other reason than chasing the dream, very similar to leeds. I'm sure in comparison they spent the same amount as Leeds did a few years back (maybe even a bit more) If they do go down, i have no doubt that they'll be a complete train wreck. The worry is that they do stay up - as the premiership these days is full of utter dross. You do not need to be superstars to stay up this season.

and Kettering have just equalized at Elland Road...should be an interesting end to the match.
-
3-0 Luton now, game over i would have thought.
-
by all accounts, Huddersfield should have won there on Saturday quite emphatically. they hit the bar 3 times and only conceded the goals through 2 goal keeper slips. they do look like they're walking the league, but if there is any team in the league to match them, it's us IMO.
-
the new owner, from what i can tell, isn't in it for the good of the club - he wants to make a quick buck and has now become aware that in order to do that he needs to put lots of money in. I mean you'd have to be stupid to invest any money into that club at the moment. Looks destined for relegation, low crowds, loans taken out left right and centre. They're sailing very close to the wind, not just in terms of admin, but complete liquidation imo.
-
...and justin gladis (i think thats him?) who is on the PA before matches, a couple of weeks ago gave them a free plug too...''good afternoon, and welcome to the friends provident st mary's stadium...''

Cortese offers you £5m on Jan 1st...what would you do?
S-Clarke replied to SaintBobby's topic in The Saints
spot on IMO. Our first 11 when fully fit is very very good for this level, bar maybe just 1 addition. but as you said, if we lose lambo then what? Or Lallana...hammond....morgan? we're really struggling then for real quality replacements. that's what leeds have over us atm, they have real depth on the bench, with prutton, micheal doyle, vokes etc. -
Correct me if im wrong...but i think the Dome was always there before the redevelopment a few years ago, but what SCW and co added was an extension on the end, which included a players lounge, new gym (including the eye gym lol...) and the infamous fish tank there was a tour of it on the old saints player, but that's long gone now.
