It's been a great window really, I don't think many of us expected this level of change (not just on the playing side, but backroom as well). SR have really started to put their stamp down after many years of this club being left to flounder on scraps. I'd give this window overall an 8/10. The 'game changing attacker' signing would have made it a 10/10 without question, and that is still an area which worries me massively. The club clearly wanted that one attacking player who could make a difference, so I would say there is a sense of disappointment internally today as well. But overall if the investment we have made in CM, GK and Defence can get our goals conceded totals down then maybe we can absorb what I feel will be a lack of goals in the final third.

These things happen in life, not just in football. You make what looks like a positive change but the grass isn't always greener for reasons only visible after the event. By all accounts he's a shy lad and very young, sometimes people are just happier being 'close' to home and around familiarity, but you only find that out after you've made that move. Not sure how the 'getting him back' works in all honesty. I assume we got a small comp fee from Chelsea for him, would think we just agreed to give that back.

Hopefully that's the last we hear from that Rik, a really irritating reporter who loves the sound of his own voice!

Leicester fans seem like they're about to explode. Rodgers has just thrown the club under the bus by saying it's hard to compete when the squad has had 'no help'. But then in the next interview, to the local press, he throws Soyuncu under the bus by saying that he's no where near the level required which is why they've been playing NdidI at CB. No mention of Vestergaard. They are in a right old mess, but it was coming. They lived a bit of a golden period, more than any of us could dream of. They're just going back to their norm.

Agree, I think Edozie is here to make an impact now.

I would say we're still that 'game changing forward' short, that's my biggest disappointment from it all. It is a worry because we're now relying on Adam Armstrong and Che Adams to hit the goals for us, which they've never really done before. Or the two kids in Mara and Edioze turn out to be superstars, which is of course possible. Onto the good things, we've got rid of so much lingering un-wanted players which has been as much of a positive as our signings. Stephens, Valery, Bednarek, Long, Forster. We've refreshed each of those with better and younger versions, so it's impressive. Very sad to see Romeu leave, but I can see why. AMN coming in provides us extra quality given we have Lavia in there too, who is going to be a superstar. So, GK, CB, CM...absolutely top work done, evolved those areas so well with much better players. Attack - Aribo, Mara, Edioze - additions there for sure, but we need Edioze to have that Broja impact ideally! 8/10 window for me. If we'd have got a game changing 'experienced' forward over the line it would have been a 20/10.

I can't understand why clubs were flapping around trying to take our trash in Bednarek, when this fella was up for grabs for a nominal fee by all accounts. I think we've won this one. He has much better pedigree than Bednarek.

I don't think people are denying that Villa are a bigger club, they are. But he needs to employ a bit of common sense with his comments given that he's still contracted to us, this is only a loan at the end of the day. But given his defending over the last so many (too many) years, he doesn't seem to have any common sense so probably no surprise.

It's comments like that which make you wonder if he was the 'leak'. He's been a consistent cog in one of the worst defences the PL has ever seen, so he should have a look in the mirror before hitting parting shots. A truly dire defender.

Are Bournemouth really that skint? I'd have taken 1-2m for him, or less for a loan fee. Sounds like they only wanted to play if it was £0

They've signed a midfielder to cover their injured midfields who is actually injured himself. More Liverpool utter waffle from the media.

He's a good player, adds to the profile of player we've added this summer - athletic, quick, physical etc. The added bonus is that he can cover wing back if required, but I imagine we'll primarily use him in CM what with Romeu gone - but he does give us some great depth all across the middle third of the team. A clever addition imo.

I knew Theo and Redmond would remain, once clubs find out how much they're on they realise it's impossible to do.

Let's see what happens! My betting is that both Theo and Redmond will still be here tomorrow and that will be that. I don't think financially either will work for Bournemouth or WBA, they're simply paid too much.

If we are potentially looking to move out Theo and Redmond then you'd have to assume we have another attacker lined up (in addition to Edozie), otherwise it's a bit bonkers.

Just to share this again...

Chelsea are run by a load of clowns nowadays, they had a somewhat decent footballing background with Buck, Mariana and Cech fronting up the transfer side of things. They've now got a random yank trying to play football manager, hence the waffle attempt (if true) to sign JWP as they are flapping around like idiots.

I assumed he'd joined, but obviously not. In that case that's why owners of football clubs should keep their mouths shut on social media.....
