I can only see him as a squad player at best, he's been relatively poor for Celtic this year. I don't think he's ever going to be a fit for this league, way, way, way too slow. I'm not sure we can afford to have players like him as squad players tbh. I'd say sell him for as much as we can get and save the wages.

I see people are getting carried away with Fulham then. They're playing well, for sure, but they're not ripping up the trees people have been suggesting they have been. The battle is between Fulham, Newcastle and Brighton. Please, people stop panicking.

God forbid anyone says anything publicly about her, you are put into the stocks and vilified. It's nothing to do with them being a woman or a bloke, she is just inept and over excited. I cannot follow commentary when she's on it. It all feels a bit forced and fake. For what it's worth, just so the 'sexist' brigade don't jump on this, I like Alex Scott as a pundit and feel she offers a lot more compared to some of the non-entity male pundits around.

I still think Brighton will be ok, I reckon it's down to Newcastle and Fulham, with Fulham inevitably dropping in the end. Will prob come down to the last game or two.

Someone mentioned Lookman on another thread. If we could sell Redmond and bring in Lookman I'd take that, massive upgrade imo.

I don't think anyone is going over the top about Adams, I don't think they ever have. The problem is that the more extreme views posted by the idiots (he's the worst player i've seen etc) are now being shown up, so they're peddling out their points in more vague ways to try and ensure they're still seen as right. It's ok to be wrong sometimes, just hold your hand up. Don't make it worse by trying to be clever and calling him 'chez'. As others have said, he's a decent support striker. You'll never get goals, goals, goals from him, but he works well with a mobile forward alongside him.

You're missing the point though, he's not a striker. He'd score 5-6 goals max a season, if that. If we replaced Ings with Lookman and relied on his goals, we'd be in deep shit. (as we've seen this year with no one else really scoring) Any money we get from Ings needs to be invested into a number 9. If we sold Redmond, I'd take Lookman as a replacement though.

No doubt he's got talent, he's very technical. I just don't think his mind or body works too well in this league. All a bit too quick and strong for him. His talent would be better shown off elsewhere and he could make a really tasty career for himself.

As per this season, always an injury to come out of a game. Not sure why we're so susceptible this year. Are recovery facilities really off bounds at Staplewood? (I keep hearing that). If that's the case the club are being utter moronic and need to give their head a wobble.

I'm not sure about Minamino tbh. I still think he looks like a player suited for a much, much slower league. I reckon he'll leave Liverpool in the summer but for La Liga.

His direct running gives us another dimension, he was pulling their (non-centre halves, let's be fair) all over the place. But I expect no less tbh given how poor they were. But he took his chance, unlucky not to get at least a goal IMO. He's certainly played himself into the squad reckoning this year.

Confidence wise and rhythm wise we struggled, but once we got our noses in front and then a 2nd we had more confidence about us. Fulham have blown a great chance in their last two games. Played quite well I thought, unlucky if anything.

Struggling in relevance to their previous form, they've clearly dipped in my eyes because of the players they've lost. But not as much as us because they have that tiny bit more depth, so they can absorb it a little bit better. But they still miss Grealish and Cash.

What Barnsley are doing is insane, they're on course to make it 6 league wins in a row. Into the play off places now. They are this years 'came from nowhere into playoffs' side IMO.

I dunno, Villa reminded me of us really. Lots of huff and puff, but no real clear cut opportunities once they were against 10. Sheff U threw two banks of 4 in front of their goal and Villa didn't really know how to break them down. Villa brought on their new guy, Sanson, and he seemed to make them worse and they just couldn't sustain anything. Targett in particular was dire.

Blackstock and McGoldrick, those were the days. We had to remove the log jam of strikers to finally allow McGoldrick in particular his chance. If only we'd have kept both of them. If he wants to play International football it's probably his best chance tbh. Cant see him getting back into the England reckoning. Not sure if/how you can change alliance when you've already featured at senior level for England though.
