Probably more career limiting, rather than threatening I'd say. He'll certainly never be at the level he was back in 2018/2019. But he'll still play at the top level for a few more years I'd say. Will be interesting to see if Liverpool go big in January to replace, I think they'll have to.
-
Completely impossible to say, I think he touched the ball once from memory. Was good to see him involved so soon though.
-
All that's going to do is add to the speculation.
-
You could have just said 'No, he can't next week'.
-
His strength down the channels is excellent and it really opens opportunities for us. He wins balls/competes for balls you feel the CB's have all day long. Look at Zouma for 2-2 for e.g

Strangely Bedernek has taken the 'dodgy' centre half label so far this season. Jannik seems a bit stronger to me, but he still gets a bit over excited sometimes with the ball at his feet and it does scare me. Up against a really quick and mobile attack he'd prob still struggle though. (I didn't really rate Chelsea's attack, even though the commentators were jizzing over it all game).

We were absolutely terrible when we were losing though, they were pummelling us. Credit where it's due, we turned it around 2nd half, but that first half performance should be confined to the bin!
-
He grew into the game I felt. He was pretty rubbish for most of that first half, but as the second half wore on he started to find more space and pop up in between the lines. He's certainly not quick anymore, but he looked to have something about him when there was space to wander into.
-
They were playing for a draw at that point, they didn't want to risk it again given what had happened at 2-2.
-
Where the fuck did that come from? Honestly, 30 mins gone we should have been 3/4-0 out of sight. We obviously gave ourselves a shake in the 2nd half, I don't know why it always needs to be like that? (we're often chasing games due to an awful first half). Second half excellent though, lots of pressing, lots of pressure. They obviously tired and once again our higher fitness levels shone through at the end. Theo grew into the game and started to find space as Chelsea tired.

This is inept really. Waste of time. I hope no one paid for this. That's me out, i'm going to go and find something to eat!
-
Inventible really, based on the start it's just a matter of how many. Could be a long one, we just haven't got the defenders to deal with this sort of quality.

God forbid your armpit strays offside.

Over half of the league didn't offer 'traditional season tickets' to start with. Of the ones that did, they offered a 'fixed payment' to secure a seat so they can be put into a ballot to pay additional for the games they wanted to attend (if it happens). In my opinion we shouldn't have sold season tickets in their traditional form, the 'expectation' that we'd have fans back inside stadiums from October was flawed from the outset. Unis went back in Sept/Aug, schools back in Sept...up tick in cases during late sept, October. Winter months etc. There is no chance of there being any fans inside any stadium in this country before January. They can't go around shutting down pubs and then deeming stadiums are ok for attendance, for any number, as that would create outrage. So we'll have to get used to no fans for a long time to come. I will say that I've never really believed the 'government' and authority responses/reactions matches the virus it's self, but let's not get into that debate on here.

We had to cobble together loose change to sign Theo on loan, no chance we'll get anyone.
-
This is the deadline for the EFL window. We can still sell and buy from EFL clubs, and EFL can still get from Prem clubs.
-
Salisu still 'weeks away' apparently. WTF is wrong with him? Had he never seen a football before he came here or something? What does he have to get used to that he didn't get in Spain? We signed him back at the end of July (we delayed the announcement for 3 weeks for some reason) and he still hasn't played a min of first team or b team football. No media unveiling, no pictures of his first day etc - very much in the Trousers camp of this entire WTF situation.
-
Cheers for the updates Shroppie. You've got to wonder why there are still 'return' plans being assessed though? They should prob be spending time working out how to refund everyone 50% of their ticket now, in effect everyone would have half season tickets then. Then see how it goes next year, as we certainly won't be seeing fans inside stadiums before Christmas in this country.
-
Moussa is infuriating, you've got to wonder if he's ever going to be able to settle into the side here. I'm starting to wonder. Loan for next year?
-
So many calls for him to play here/be in the team etc, but I think the fact he's going to Doncaster says it all. He's not a top level player and never will be.
-
Good, 3 sneaky bastards caught out trying to push their own interests through. And I'm fairly sure Rick Parry still has his links with Liverpool too, all very suss and I'm glad everyone saw sense in the end. It was a non-starter.
-
Tbf, it will just be added to the list of things they've failed at this year, so don't be surprised.
-
How about they all piss off and create a 'big 6 league' somewhere, and let the rest of us battle it out in a proper even playing field? As people have said, this is a scandalous power grab and is only looking after the interests of a select few, it's being wrapped up in an 'EFL' finance support package in the hope that most people don't see what it is. It's also another example of an industry using 'COVID' to shoehorn something else through that they'd have had no hope of doing otherwise. It would be the death of football.

This entire thing makes me feel incredibly uneasy. Kat isn't going to throw us up the river again, is she?
