He hasn't had raw pace since around 2015, he's about the same speed as Redmond now. Maybe slower.
-
Sounds like we're certainly interested in Theo. Really odd signing by us though. He has looked terrible at Everton (and that's being kind). I thought he'd end up in a lower league.
-
Vokins is fine, I thought he stepped up to the plate last year and is a really good prospect. What's the point in loaning another teams young full back, which blocks the progress of your own young full back? Valery isn't great, agreed, but JWP has also shown he can play there. There's no sense in the Williams deal if it happens, only way it would make sense is if we're losing Ryan.

Adams hold up play is excellent, he fights for balls he has no right to win. He just needs to get a bit more ruthless in front of goal, still lacking that instinct that Ings has. But if he can provide the foil for ings to score, then that'll work. But I'd still like to see him score a bit more.
-
Still wouldn't make any sense to me, we've got Vokins who is more than capable of playing if required. As he proved at the back end of last season
-
Gruijc should be straight in that Liverpool midfield! They had no one in there today!
-
He did get a goal, but he was struggling up until that point. We did look better with Redmond on that side.
-
From Sky: Truly bizarre. Why do we need to add to full back? Let's see what happens. This signing would confuse the f*k out of me if it happens.

Villa excellent, great passing through the lines and quality from Barkley and Grealish finding space in the final third. But....Liverpool's defending was something to be witnessed. They just let Villa through time and time again, their blocking and press was non-existent, their positional play in the back 4 was awful, Trents awareness was non-existent and he didn't turn up. It was strange, very strange. But don't take anything away from Villa, their passing and movement in the final third was excellent.

Because UA is our kit supplier...?

Neville and Carragher have been absolutely tortured today.
-
I'll be honest, the whole Salisu situation has been very, very peculiar I'll be honest. I'm sure he's our player, but the lack of media presence over him was weird.
-
wtf is going on today?? Liverpool have been quite poor since January anyway, they built up a head of steam in the first 6 months of last season and dropped off massively beyond January. They'd built up big enough a lead to be ok though. This season is just a continuation of their drop off.

A club that targets Sancho and 'young British talent' at the start of the window, and then ends up signing Cavani on a free at the end of the window, strikes as a club with no real idea of what they're doing in that area. Maguire is over rated, I think he's dreadful.
-
Their recruitment was odd/confused under Van Gal and Jose either. Although with Jose, he threw the board under the bus with his comments and they ended up sacking him. With Van Gal they went for headline signings such as Falcao and Di Maria. No real impact from those. It's a club with no plan, just flying from season to season and seeing what sticks.

He just said 'I don't promote violence, but I'd go in there and give them all a few slaps at the moment' Lol.
-
Man Utd are broken and it all stems from above the management/coaching. Their recruitment is nothing other than diabolical, every single year. They are one of the biggest clubs in world football, what they bring in on marketing alone would make us squirm, but they are being left behind by most 'top' teams in Europe now on the pitch because their recruitment is bitty, slow and failing most years. They don't seem to have a recruitment strategy, as will be proven by the deadline day signing of Cavani. Their fans have every right to be baffled and frustrated by the overall ownership of the club, arguably one of the biggest club names in world football is being managed in a way that no one could have seen 10 years ago.
-
Williams would be a very odd signing if true. We have two first choice full backs already, so he'd be coming here as cover from a club he's already cover. Makes no sense for Man Utd, us or Williams. Unless we're braced for a deadline move for Bertrand.
-
Looks like Lemina is doing exactly what most of us thought he would. He's not involved again. Neither is Reed fwiw, another player too fragile for this league.
-
KWP was excellent, back to his performances at the back end of last season. He gives us a real balance from our right side, attacking and defensive discipline. Wasn't too sure on JWP today, seemed to be hanging on the edges of the game.
-
ITK? Not exactly the player we need, he's long past it unfortunately. Bit of an emotional homecoming on the cards, but he's not great these days. Not sure what to make of it if you're ITK.
-
It's done. Confirmed by Ralph, he's our player.

A really easy win, it's not very often you can just relax (as fans) after 80mins of a home game. I'm trying hard not to get too carried away though, as the standard of the opposition we played today was shocking. They are beyond bad, lower half Championship going by that. Derby totals for them wouldn't surprise me. Let's see how we go after the Internationals. But two wins out of two is a nice return.
-
Good half, in control, no real issues. Should have been well up before Moussa's goal, but at least we finally got one. WBA will need to come out a bit more now, so they will be even more space. The goal will do Moussa the world of good I hope, he looked lost before that.

Ruben Dias didn't do to badly yesterday. And Gabriel Magalhaes has settled straight in. Llorente (Leeds new CB) straight onto the bench. We've obviously signed Salisu with an injury, which kind of explains LeGod's comments a few weeks back. (We may be forced back into the market for another etc) Why our club is so secretive though is beyond me, absolutely does my head in.
