I fully expect Boufal to go, so yes....I'd certainly look at singing another wide player, or inside forward type. Don't have much competition in that area apart from Redmond and Moussa.

Went to Shrewsbury in League 1, played a handful of games there.

I heard that Ralph didn't take a liking to Slatery's attitude, and he came back mega unfit or something. Think he's the big i am. Don't see much future for him here anymore. Sims will probably leave us, not good enough for us. Ramsey was/is quite highly thought of I think, although I don't think he's anywhere near the level we will need atm. I'd expect Hesketh to go.

Not entirely sure what angle MLG was trying to take here, but he's come across as a tool. Which isn't any surprise.
-
Surely he gets as frustrated as us then? Esp. if he'd been around under Ronald before, and then all of a sudden in come Puel, Pelligrino, Hughes. Great. Probably took a while for him to buy into Ralph after so many poor appointments previous. I can probably relate to his pain to be honest, I can't imagine many players would want to play under the 3 above. I certainly didn't want my team managed by any of them.

It does feel like it has been fed from the Southampton end in some sort of tactical move to either speed it up or get another to commit. I don't think the club want this to drag on, they want it done ASAP so they're trying to force it.

There's no doubts that Lemina is technically gifted and has great attributes. The problem is that he has very, very poor application to the course and mentally isn't there as a football player at the top level. That won't ever change, so we need to cut our losses this summer and see if there's a manager out there who just looks at his ability - we may get a decent amount of $ then. He's dropped out of the team at every club he's played at.

Jesus, can you imagine! Angle for clubs to sue...?

Blimey, given themselves a big chance here! What a final day...! Weird shit can happen.....

I think it was around £12m

HUGE goal for Villa. Long way to go, but blimey.

To be fair, I'm not surprised if he was feeling a bit stiff. No time in between the games really and he's played them all, even Brighton when we rested loads. Only JWP looks untroubled, but that's because he's not human!

Players you would sign from relegated teams....

Best thing for Cantwell is to drop back with Norwich, stick with them in the Champ to try and get promoted. Then he'll be back in the PL as a much better player. He's not bad, but still raw and I think that will stop clubs going for him. -
I think as a club we wanted this done ASAP, as it did certainly have the potential to drag on. Let's see what Spurs can muster up. Going to Everton makes a mockery of PEH's claim that he needs to leave to win the league and the champions league though. $$$$. He's going to his level though, mid-table PL is pretty much him. I hope Everton don't expect much more. This isn't a bitter 'oh he's leaving, now he's shit' post either. I've never rated him, been a huge part of our problems and I'm glad to get rid.

Are people confusing Tim Klose with someone else?? He's absolutely terrible!! We should have seen that first hand when we ran rings around him in our first game back. He's old and returning from a season-long injury. -
Because it's Daniel Levy.

So close to a top 8 push though. Like, 4 points potentially! I think it highlights how utterly false our 8th position was under Puel - 46 points wasn't it? 8th may be around the 56-58 point mark this year, which is pretty much the norm. Puels' 8th place was nothing to celebrate, it was the start of a big regression.
-
I reckon it could be something like £8-10m guaranteed, with a further 4-5m on specific clauses over the period of the contract (5 years for example). That would be a deal.

They love wasting money. Flexing their muscles to build an unbalanced team.

He'd posted a smiley face before he edited it!

Registration of Charge: MacQuarie Bank vs MSD Holdings

Hopefully someone who knows what that is can unpick that! I do hope Gao is going. I'm very, very, very nervous about us being owned by Chinese entities at this moment in time. Wolves should be too. China is expected to introduce more restrictions on its companies and citizens investing in UK businesses. That could be bad news for Chinese-owned clubs in the UK such as Wolves, Southampton, West Bromwich Albion, Birmingham and Reading. But given that he doesn't invest, I guess it'll make little difference! Still, very worrying though. -
Technically, he came in during the pre-season in which he was sold. But if I remember right, he was announced as the replacement for Pep a good 6 months prior - so he'd have been studying that squad quite a lot in the interim I'd have thought.

Player and other .... of the season 2019/2020 edition

1) Ings, easy. But I've also got to agree with JWP running him close too. 2) Tricky one, we've not really had any breakthrough that I'd class as 'young' 3) Not too many have broken through, so I'd go with Obafemi - although I like Smallbone too. 4) Armstrong. He was a bit in and out last year, but has become a pivotal player now. 5) Can only be KWP really. 6) Valery for me in the Leicester game, and then other games. Helplessly out of his depth. 7) Stephens v City 8 ) Man City home, Skates away. 9 ) Can't disagree with the Leicester one, although performance wise the Everton home game was right up there. 10 ) Man City home
