  1. lol. Luckily you post like this most weeks, and you're wrong most weeks.
  2. Every bloody time he does this, switches the blame - yet the media pander to it. He is a washed up dinosaur who is no longer good enough to manage at this level, he's old skool and the game has moved on. The amount of money he had, not just transfer fees - but wages, should have enabled him to put together a better team than he managed. It just seemed like the normal job of cobbling together a load of has-beens on huge wages, no imagination and no management really needed there. I still believe that with the likes of Isla, Taarbat, Austin, Vargas, Phillips etc they should be doing a lot better....but he couldn't get them playing at all. They look much better under Ramsey for what it's worth.
  3. I wouldn't have thought he'd be part of the full normal training if i'm honest. I reckon, what RK was referring to, was that he'd be back to some resemblance of ball training - albeit light. There's no way, after a year out, that he'd be able to do the same structure as the current squad. He'll probably get some U21 games over the next few weeks, and I think we could probably see him involved in the full training in about 3 or so weeks, and then another week of that until he plays.
  4. Shaw had about 4 years left on his contract. Clyne has 1. I wouldn't expect anymore than £15m tbh.
  5. That S-Clarke fella talks some sense.
  6. Ridiculous post. What do you want us to do exactly? Top 10 is pretty much where we are.....Top 6 is the aim, but anything other than that is a little too much - especially a sustained attempt. You may be following the wrong club as your expectations are completely skewed. I'm not entirely sure how a top 6 finish can be seen as false promise. For us, that is an amazing achievement. If we finish top 6 for the next 10 years, then sign me up for a 10 year season ticket thank you very much.
  7. I think he'll be loaned out next season. No idea if he's ready for the PL though.
  8. I don't think that's the case what so ever. Dujuric has actually come out with a quote along the lines that he expects to go back to benifca, as it's such an 'important' club. Whereas Gaston has never wanted out of here massively, he just doesn't suit this league full stop. Don't have a clue what Djuricic is all about to be honest. Not seen enough.
  9. Don't open that can of worms! For what it's worth, I think that is a place in it's own right - so it doesn't affect the country's current allocation. And WHU, top of the fair play league, what???
  10. I think they only brought it back once we had the electronic turnstiles in place (which still seem to confuse some people!!!!) - that way, if you haven't paid your card is disabled full stop.
  11. All this Pelle hate is a little bit tedious, and incredibly over the top. He is a good player, he wouldn't have already scored 12/13 goals as he has if he wasn't a good player. And poor players don't have the ability to score that overhead he did against QPR. He isn't a great player, but he's a good player. More than good enough for us. He's struggling with form, as a lot of top strikers do over the course of the season. The most important thing for me is that Koeman trusts him, he knows him better than any of us, so I judge his decisions over the whines on here.
  12. Epic game. Benteke was like a man possessed tonight.
  13. I'd be tempted to do that, if we're honest we shouldn't need 2 'holding' midfielders for this game. Just throw the attack at them.
  14. Atrocious is putting it lightly.
  15. Is it Gerrards birthday? Can't say I've heard that mentioned anywhere yet! Who'd have thought it.
  16. That's got to be the target now, for me that would just cap an amazing season. What a way to stick 2 fingers up to Lallana, Lovren and MP. The home game against Spurs is HUGE.
  17. I love the Championship for these end of season nerve-shredders. Such a competitive league with a lot of quality. I did fancy Derby as nailed on, but they're totally lost their way. Play offs for them now at best. It's 2 from 4.....Norwich, B/mouth, Boro, Watford. My personal preference would be Bournemouth and Boro, 2 good sides who play the right way. I'd like to see Watford come up via the playoff's. Exciting end to the season though for the neutral! Reminds me of our L1 run-in, where we were being relentlessly hunted by Huddersfield. Sunderland need to go, that club needs to be flushed out and they need to start again, every season is the same and it's boring watching them. QPR, everything that is wrong with modern football in terms of the money they ****ed up the wall on players. I'd like to see WBA go, but they won't - that's more of a personal preference than anything football related.
  18. This is being made to sound a lot more confusing than it actually is. Basically, 5th and 6th place are guaranteed EL places. If a team that finish within the the top 6 win the FA Cup, then the place allocated to the FA Cup winners goes to the next league place down - i.e 7th. If Reading, Blackburn, or Villa win it, then they get the EL place and 7th doesn't. It used to be the case that the losing finalists also get a EL place if they weren't already in the Top 6, but that's no longer the case.
  19. And if he did get a game and we didn't score, I would have to wade through a zillion comments about how Koeman has made the wrong decision, he doesn't know what he's doing etc etc. Go with the best team, the side that knows each other the best. Makes no sense to play around with young players now.
  20. Their transfer policy over the last 3 seasons has been nothing short of diabolical. No forward thinking, no long-term plan it seems. Fernandinho - Okay, but was signed when he was 28/29, so not exactly thinking ahead Jovetic - Young player, but no impact what so ever. Spent more time on the bench and injured. Failed. Negredo - Started ok, drifted off, and is now at Valencia Navas - Never done it really, flits in and out of games. Not great. Demichelis - Poor aging player, not up to the pace. Javi Garcia - Rubbish, horrendous signing. Natasic - He wasn't bad, but was shipped out to Germany. Rodwell - Abysmal. Signed just to keep their British player count up. Sinclair - Ditto Mangala - Disaster. £30m for what? Fernando - Rubbish, most city fans would agree. So fair enough, they do need to replace a lot of that side....but I'd get rid of whoever has made the decisions in recent years and start a fresh.....
  21. Lol @ Newcastle by the way. Pardew hated by their fans, massive movements to get him sacked etc. He's now 4 points ahead of them at his new club with a better GD.
  22. You jest, but if this stays as it is, we beat Hull and Utd beat City in the derby, we'd be amazingly just 5 points away from them. Although their run-in after that looks 'straight forward', with 3 home games back to back. Obviously we won't finish 4th, but at least keeps it all a little interesting as we head into the final weeks.
