Aren't Silva or Cazorla too small for the PL, going by that logic? Leon Britton also had a massive few years in this league with Swansea in CM. Being ''too small'' is made too much of. There are plenty of ''small'' players who have been/are top players at this level.

If we create as many clear chances as we do now for Pelle (i.e 1 every 2000000 minutes), then I doubt it.

I cannot understand how anyone can be torn on this? And how is it just a nice holiday for the fans? This is an opportunity to progress the club, have some growth, attract some better players and improve the level of football we play at. I don't know why anyone would give that up just to see 3 players, who were once here, fail at their current club. Who cares now? They've had **** seasons, it's fun watching them suffer (2 in particular), but not at the expense of us jacking in an opportunity - and that's what this is. Anyway, it's kind of irrelevant now as Arsenal are in the final.

13 goals, or 8 assists. I'd take that. Poor 2nd halves from both of them, but enough of an impact in the first half of the season to shape our season.

But as we know from experience, it's pretty much done. The fee's will get agreed in the end as it's very much in the interest of all parties. This day and age you often get the players terms sorted out long before the clubs.

Post-Match Reaction: Stoke City 2-1 SAINTS

It's an in-game replay shot. -
Is this another example of a player who is suddenly so much better, as he doesn't play? He's a good player, but he's not the answer to everything as some seem to think.

He's injured. And he hasn't shown anything to suggest he's a better option than anyone, to be honest. I think, hope, that both loanies are sent back pretty sharpish once the season ends. -

Just feels that today is such a missed opportunity, I thought we played really well - but the same old problems haunted us up top, and we had some new problems haunting us at the back - not exactly a winning combination. Steven Davis has been really, really poor for weeks now. Seems off the pace, slow to react, his passing has been simply atrocious and he looks like he's lumbering around most weeks. I don't think Pelle played too badly today, despite what some say - Tadic was again frustrating, just flits in and out these days, teams easily contain him. Mane caused problems with his pace, a little bit erratic as he always will be, but our only real potent threat up top it has to be said. It looks to be a battle between ourselves and Spurs for 6th, no higher than that now. Thankfully we also can't finish lower than 7th, so barring a set of amazing results in league and cup over the next few weeks, we are looking at being in Europe next season which is a great achievement. Let's prioritize a goal keeper in the summer though... -
This has been such a wasted opportunity, we have played well and should win - we don't usually lose games in this manner. But it's what you get when you have a bog-**** player in a critical position in the side. What I'd give for our L1 standard GK back. Toby's looks bad. Season killer without question. Who knows how long beyond that, looks like he's taking Oxygen as well.

Going by football manager ( ) he is on around 35k p/w. The new contract was meant to double his wages so he'd probably be on about 60k p/w. Can imagine any new club signing him would look to pay him upwards of 80k, huge pay rise.

I really feel for the Blackpool fans. They don't deserve all this, the club will just fall away into the distance now.

He'll probably be shipped out on loan, I don't think Van Gal fancies him a single bit. He seems to prefer Rojo, Blind or Young in that position before he considers Shaw. In hindsight, he shouldn't have moved. But the $$$$$ floated in front of his eyes, and his father - who by all accounts is a little bit annoying, pushed for the move. And £32m was just too good for anyone to turn down, really. Man Utd had their pants pulled down a bit with that deal. I think he's a good player, but I never saw him in the same class as Bale - which he was being compared to in some places. I think the fact we haven't missed him a great deal says a lot. Bertrand doesn't look any less of a player to me - a little more experienced in some situations you'd have to say. If he can sort his fitness out the injuries will dry up as well, although at the moment I don't think he has an injury - he's just not being selected. And Lallana? Couldn't give a toss. Hope he carries on struggling there. The Liverpool fans are incredibly underwhelmed.

Interesting that it mentions Elia is returning to Bremen. I wouldn't be fussed if that was true tbh.

Winner - 1988, 1989, 1991 Top scorer in the EC in 94 Not delusional what so ever, we have an elite coach at our club.

Pretty sure this has been done and dusted for months, bar the official confirmation.
-
To be fair, even I'd have looked decent coming on in the 2nd half after that 1st half, and I'm not a footballer! But I think Tadic has been managed pretty well in the last few months, I think it's clear he suffered a pretty big burn out around December time and he picked up a few niggles here and there....but if we can get him and Pelle back, at their start of the season level, for the run-in....then we have every chance.
-
He's already said he would honour his contract with us, and whilst words can be cheap, he seems like a genuinely honourable person - so I have no reason to doubt him.
-
Would imagine he'll end up at Man City. Why are we even being considered though? We've got a manager already who has a much higher calibre. Wouldn't swap him for Klopp, that's for sure.
-
I'm sure he's not that bothered by the comments, he doesn't have to do much yet he's a millionaire. Fair play. Also, it just continues to ram home that it's about a team - not an individual. Shaw, Lallana, Lovren, Fonte, Chambers, Lambert, Wanyama, Morgan etc etc made a great TEAM. It was a collective effort which has probably made them look better than they are, and I'm not saying they're rubbish players because they're not....but they were here in an environment surrounded by people who knew their game. It should be a little message to the likes of Morgan and Clyne, but it won't be listened to. They can earn mega bucks to be fair, so fair enough to them. But it just doesn't surprise me to see how all of our 'defectors' have failed this season, every 1 of them. Liverpool would have had more success by just buying Southampton in one hit.

All this tapping up stuff is just the nature of the game. Agents talk between each other and clubs to gauge interest all the time, and as they're working on behalf of the player....the player never actually physically meets to discuss contract terms, the agents and the players talk - so the agent sort of acts as a proxy with the clubs, so in a way it's not pure tapping up which is why they get away with it probably. That way when they're able to make the move officially, most stuff is agreed and it only needs the rubber stamping from the players etc. The agents are just doing their job, pretty well in the eyes of their clients. It's just the way it is and I don't think it'll ever change. As other's have said, we do exactly the same. Look at the situation with Tonny Velheina - we talked to his agent and knew of his interest and demands. I'm sure we've been talking with Jordy's agent as well.
-
Messi doesn't know what he's on about, he is a league 1 keeper at best. Apparently.

If Rafael is up for a swap, I'd take him....

What an absolute joy it is to watch Jordan Henderson. It is like we've signed prime Zidane.
