Liverpool fans think the ref got it right though. Deluded load of ****s.
-
Must admit, I've never seen him be outstanding. Just consistent ****e.
-
Lovren looks like an accident waiting to happen. When Newcastle actually string a few passes together and attack, they do look quite dangerous and Liverpool look very vulnerable. Clear penalty though. He doesn't even get near the ball, he kicks the players shins. No idea why it wasn't given. I'd be so depressed if I had Obertan in my team though. What a crock of ****e as a footballer he is.
-
Also worth noting that they have Lolvren at the heart of their defence for a bit now, what with Sahko out for a month.
-
Oh it's guaranteed that if Liverpool win tonight, they will be lapping it up saying how they can get 4th. And how City are in real trouble etc. No mention what so ever of us being their nearest challengers during the weekend, even though we're the team behind them I'd give anything for a Newcastle win tonight.

Rather than debating about what happened or may have happened in the summer, how about we just bring up the league table and bask in it's glory for a bit? We're 5th. Going into the last month, we're 5th!! We're talking about catching Man City. We already have the same points that we finished on last season. We have a goal difference which is better by about +14, we have the best defence in the league. This situation may not happen again, so I'm just going to set that league table as my wallpaper and enjoy it.

We were never going to get relegated, that wasn't ever in my head. I was just disappointed to see a decent team split up and envisaged a bit of a lower season, bottom half of the table but always comfortable. The pundits and the likes who were predicting us to finish 20th etc were just jumping on a bandwagon. At the end of the day we got in a very good manager with a huge reputation in the game, at that point I knew we weren't going to be messing about and he believed in the plan. He wouldn't have come here otherwise.
-
The media has to retain him as their darling, so they cannot ever talk about his relegation's as manager. Not that it was his fault we got relegated, obviously. Probably his dogs or something.
-
Kind of kills it for them if they're honest. Debut season in the PL being played out of city. I can't see it even being close to happening, or even the PL allowing it to happen. It's not even going to be an issue. It'll be worked around if it comes to it.

Every single interview he has you can almost guarantee this line.... ''Oh yeh, I had that lad with me at club x, sold him off to club y and then got him with me again at club z. Such a good lad for me''
-
John Terry is getting destroyed by the QPR fans, very funny.
-
I imagine Bournemouth will do everything physically possible to ensure they can play at their own ground, they'll put temporary facilities in place if it came to it. That can be sorted in the summer.
-
I felt he had a real impact on the game when he came on, which was great to see.
-
Something to do with keeping a freshness. To be fair, both for England and us, he has look increasingly leggy in recent weeks.
-
Never had a problem with Pardew, was as miffed as most when he went. Didn't quite understand the criticism he got from some corners in that first season either.
-
Or Palace going on a mega-run and closing in on the top half It makes it exciting though I guess and thankfully we're still incredibly well placed to do something silly ourselves.
-
Top pro. Always liked Davis, got some real stick in his first season for us - but was recovering from playing at that horrible, messed up north east club - so to be understood.
-
He's always roamed and switched sides. He played on the right side against Arsenal in the cup win, and was terrific.
-
Yeah, I've just been looking at that. Horrendous run-in. But hey, who knows? I didn't think Burnley would beat City, or Villa go to Sprus and win. This time of the season will throw up lots of randoms - they could hopefully do us 1 or 2 favors!
-
It's the cutting inside aspect which all managers these days seem to prefer. You don't usually see wingers on their natural sides this days. I thought he made a positive change when he came on, wanting the ball, moving into space, gave us a bit of spark.
-
Yeah, that's not what I was saying at all. Never mind.
-
You cannot ignore the fact we were absolutely flaming atrocious for 45 mins. Koeman hasn't either going by his post match comments. We need to make sure we never drop to that level again.
-
He wasn't much cop in the first half, but no one was really. But he's never been as bad as people have been saying. The 2nd half, as the space opened up, he was able to hold it up more effectively. Very pleased to see him score, that will hopefully be a huge weight off the lads shoulders. I've never thought he's a poor player.
-
Who knows what could happen....it makes for a very interesting end of the season, that's for sure. I don't think we'll do it, I think City will edge away and the top 4 will be as it is. I just want us to be above Liverpool and Spurs, that would be amazing!!

To me, if anything, it shows up what an utterly horrific manager Neil Warnock is. That was always a good Palace side, as Pulis showed in the previous season. What Warnock did to them is beyond me, but fair play to Pardew who has got the best out of their attacking 3 - their wing play is as good as any, that is their strength - and they play to it. Really pleased for Pards to be honest, the Newcastle job was a very hostile environment and it's nice to see him sticking 2 massive fingers up to that fat **** ashley.
