  1. Cesc's mask slipped a bit.
  2. Any 'top' game which has Chelsea involved is an utter bore fest.
  3. But we did. The fee's for Lallana Shaw, Lovren, Chambers will be on installments - we didn't have 90m to spend. And also you have to take into account wages...signing on fee's...agent fee's.....and given that our wage bill is higher this year, then I think it's fair to assume that we reinvested most, if not all, of what we received in the summer.
  4. Yeah, bloody Koeman. Useless manager, absolutely hopeless. You do come across a bit mad tbh.
  5. Jammat would really be a huge signing for us, such a class player. Newcastle fans rave about him, when given their season, says a lot!
  6. He switched off for that goal, yes, but generally he had a very solid game. He's come on leaps and bounds this year, his distribution as a left sided centre back is top quality these days. Really impressed with how he's maturing. I can't think of too many clubs at our level who have a 3rd centre back as good as him.
  7. To be fair, there were a few occasions yesterday where he wasn't even touched.
  8. Great achievement. Good move by the club in the summer, but an even more shrewd move to get his permanent deal signed up when we did. We could have had a nervy wait this summer if we hadn't. As I said on another thread, the biggest compliment you can pay to Bertrand is that we haven't missed Shaw a single jot.
  9. Did he actually say that?
  10. Javier de Pedro CDAJFU
  11. Personally I think you've read that wrong. I think what the article is trying to suggest is that they hope that now they can unearth similar players to Mane in similar leagues, which at the time are kind of unknown and there isn't a huge clamor.
  12. Or he's Ronald Koeman.
  13. I look at At.Madrid though and I see Godin and Miranda, their first choice - 2 terrific centre backs in their prime. Then they have Gimenez, who is a 20 something CB - massively highly rated. Unless they lose 2 CB's in the summer, I can't see Toby going back there to be a first choice centre back for them. So yes, maybe they do want him back as he's a terrific player to have as part of their squad, but does Toby want to be a squad player anymore? I imagine his ambition is to be a first choice player, and he'd get that here every week. It's not as clear cut as it sounds. It won't be easy to get him, but I think we're making any decision he has to make very difficult.

  15. That's one thing that does annoy about his game at times, he tries to do the extravagant stuff at the wrong times in the wrong places. That was a criminal give away.
  16. I must admit I had no idea about this until a few days ago, I must be out of the loop. Along with thousands of others.
  17. He's an excellent player. I think he's only got a couple of years left at Chelsea, and obviously he's not going to play there. I reckon we could get him, and he'd be such a Les Reed signing. Can see this happening.
  18. Great servant and club captain for us, but an extremely massive weak link in a premier league team. Thankfully we only have 4 more games to play. People saying that Forster was no better than Davis and that Forster is a L1 keeper need to get their heads out of their arses. Our defensive record this season owes a lot to Forster.
  19. I'm pretty sure, in fact 90% sure, that the drone in question is used to beam back the overhead TV Shots for BT Sport (which they used a lot during the game and morning)
  20. No idea why people get so upset about this. They've obviously concentrated on the battle at the bottom, some huge results today down there and that is a lot more interesting for general neutral viewing, as opposed to the battle to finish 6th. Good game as it was, they've gone with a general theme tonight by the looks of things.
  21. There's a pressure either way, but this is a better sort of pressure for them. It should push them over the line.
  22. Still think it's on for 5th, given Liverpool's result today. Certainly not out of the question. In theory we could win the next 3, who knows.
  23. But as we know from our MP time, his teams do have lots of the ball - but it's often non-threatening possession.
  24. It should be a win, let's be honest. I'd be so so so gutted at anything less. Sunderland are horrifically bad, there's no dressing that up. If we can get Mane up close to Pelle again, then they will take the awful O'Shea and the joke Vergini to the cleaners. I guess though, it's the end of the season and odd-result time....but if we play at anywhere close as we did today or at Stoke, then we'll win.
  25. I think that's fair, obviously it will be highlighted hugely because of the glaring misses, but as I have nothing else to do on a Saturday night this week (go me!) I watched some of the game back, and his tactical and discipline in the middle was good. He used the ball well when he had it, apart from the shots! I do think he has dipped recently though. He's not as consistently reliable as he used to be.
