  1. Hard to say yet, you never know. They'll give it a good go though, for sure.
  2. They're a tidy team. They will give many teams in the PL a game down there.
  3. Given that Osvaldo had a habit of punching team mates and unsettling every team he goes to, then I would say we'd probably be doing a lot worse as most of our players would be out with broken cheekbones and noses. And Gaston hasn't ever done anything over a prolonged period of time to suggest he'd have made any difference what so ever. Wouldn't think Boruc would make much difference either, Forster was in goal all season anyway, so Davis isn't going to make a huge difference to our prospects in just 4/5 games.
  4. Doubt he's done enough at Hull for them to want to buy him, he's generally as ineffective there as he was for us. Talented, but not suited to English football. I read some rumors that he's looking to go back to South America in the summer for a cut price, but I doubt he's staying in England.
  5. I wouldn't go near either of the loanies tbh, they've done nothing. Got a feeling we'll keep Elia though, just have a hunch that Koeman really likes him.
  6. Who knows. He will be kept on in some capacity though.
  7. Kelvin will be here forever tbh. When his contract is up, I can imagine he'll become part of the backroom. He's not going to leave. Davis is a good player, maybe his time as a starter will reduce, but you won't have too much better squad backup than him. With Europe (possibly) next season, we need to be retaining the likes of Long and Davis.
  8. I don't think we can to be honest, as I'm sure there is a deadline to register your squad - and as Artur hasn't been in our squad this year, he's not going to be registered. Also, I can't see how he would even want to come back into the fold. He made his feelings pretty clear, at the end of the day it's 4 games and we have to stick with Davis.
  9. They're going to waste a lot of time this summer on Depay, who will end up going to a CL club. And then they'll pickup someone like Boalsie for stupid money instead.
  10. Yeah, our system is clearly much more advanced than Real Madrid's.
  11. But it's no worries, he's not good enough for us anyway, apparently. Can't believe some fans turned their noses up at him.

    Danny Ings

    Morgan V Newcastle.
  13. Chelsea had no intention of winning that game at any point. Their plan was to kill that game from the off.
  14. Cesc's mask slipped a bit.
  15. Any 'top' game which has Chelsea involved is an utter bore fest.
  16. But we did. The fee's for Lallana Shaw, Lovren, Chambers will be on installments - we didn't have 90m to spend. And also you have to take into account wages...signing on fee's...agent fee's.....and given that our wage bill is higher this year, then I think it's fair to assume that we reinvested most, if not all, of what we received in the summer.
  17. Yeah, bloody Koeman. Useless manager, absolutely hopeless. You do come across a bit mad tbh.
  18. Jammat would really be a huge signing for us, such a class player. Newcastle fans rave about him, when given their season, says a lot!
  19. He switched off for that goal, yes, but generally he had a very solid game. He's come on leaps and bounds this year, his distribution as a left sided centre back is top quality these days. Really impressed with how he's maturing. I can't think of too many clubs at our level who have a 3rd centre back as good as him.
  20. To be fair, there were a few occasions yesterday where he wasn't even touched.
  21. Great achievement. Good move by the club in the summer, but an even more shrewd move to get his permanent deal signed up when we did. We could have had a nervy wait this summer if we hadn't. As I said on another thread, the biggest compliment you can pay to Bertrand is that we haven't missed Shaw a single jot.
  22. Did he actually say that?
  23. Javier de Pedro CDAJFU
  24. Personally I think you've read that wrong. I think what the article is trying to suggest is that they hope that now they can unearth similar players to Mane in similar leagues, which at the time are kind of unknown and there isn't a huge clamor.
  25. Or he's Ronald Koeman.
