  1. Just another thing that really gets my back up...''Playing for England is the pinnacle of my career, with all these world class players. Learning off them'' What world class players for Christ sake? What is the definition of world class these days? In my definition there are lots of half decent players in the England team, but no one remotely world class - not even close to any degree. That term is flushed around so much it does my frigging head in, and it makes it sound as if they had to leave...to get international football..so they could continue to train with such world class players, when in fact...some of the players we have here are better than what England have to choose from. Go figure.
  2. Jesus, there's another one that soon around the corner? I thought this was it until next year. Christ sake, Internationals for me are the blot on the calender. They get in the way of what I really care about.
  3. Nothing to do with being fickle at all. Not sure why you can't see that. He is respected in terms of his playing ability, you cannot belittle that and say we're better off without him - because we're not. The issue I have, and 99% of others have, is the complete and utter PR disasters he continues to have. He dug a good hole, which he's continuing to turn into a crater. All throughout the summer it was PR disaster after PR disaster, pictured taking photos with L'pool fans at the WC, saying that seeing ''lallana'' will change the lives of the favela kids. And don't get me started on his Liverpool press release upon his joining, that was a complete PR mess and that created this hole in the first place, which was dug a bit deeper with his **** poor fan-kissing attempt in the Echo. Unfortunately it seems as if he has acted like a complete moron head throughout the entire process, together with a serious lack of PR advice - and that's what gets our backs up.
  4. I know it's always seems to be the case that players become **** when they've left, etc. etc. (I hate that or one). Ok, he wasn't **** at all, but I believe he is an obnoxious, self-obsessed big headed ******. Believes he's god’s gift to football, and it makes me cringe to see how he's trying to gee up the Liverpool players during games. He's probably the most pathetic captain we ever had. I know that players even questioned his captaincy at times when Adkins was here.
  5. "I'm absolutely delighted," said Lallana. "To commit my future to the Club for the next five years is something I'm really happy about. "I can't wait to work with the new management team and the lads to continue our progress in the Premier League. It was an easy decision for me with the direction the Club is going in. "I've been at the Club since I was 12 and – being honest – I can only see my future lying with Southampton Football Club. "If someone was to say that I'd end my career playing for Southampton in the Premier League then I'd snap your hand off for it.
  6. He's such a dim-wit, an absolute numb-nut. From the Luke Shaw school of brain-deadness.
  7. The full interview, if anyone is interested. What he didn't seem to realise was 'right price' - we never, ever received anything near our valuation. If we did, I'm sure he'd have been long gone...but £10m was a bit of a ****take.
  8. I don't think it's Pelle doing the trolling. Pretty easy to work out who is though. 4/10
  9. Why are people having a debate over GK's? It's not worthy of any sort of discussion as nothing is wrong with it.
  10. Bit of a nothing game from us really, we've not been bad, we've just not really done anything. Spurs have played well, their press is causing is to drop really deep. Working exactly as it is supposed to work. Midfield being pushed out of the game and played around, need to sort that at HT.
  11. Nah, if he storms it there, Inter still only end up paying £4m or so. Set fee.
  12. Pelle is everything Osvaldo should have been for us. He deserves his call up, he's been great.
  13. Liverpool fans really don't like Lovren, they're calling for him to be dropped now.
  14. Here's a new idea, maybe we should just support Koeman? Rather than going back into the past for no reason at all. He was a slimy **** with the way he created his 'exit', but it happened, it's done, it's finished. Before all of that, he gave us a great season. I'd just pay him no interest tbh.
  15. Les was always the one we had to put our trust in, I'm baffled as to why so many were intent on turning on him. The one link to our rise after NC left, quite clearly had a big say in our 5 year rise, yet people were so quick to blame him for everything.
  16. Is anyone watching the Blackpool protests? What the actual ****? 5 or 6 black balloons released onto the pitch, about 1 min of ''oysten out'' chants, and now a few mobiles being flashed in the crowd for 1 or 2 mins to show their disgust, or something. I'm so embarrassed for them, they probably don't know how utterly pathetic it looks on live tv.
  17. It is really, if we're honest there's no need for them to be a team in transition. He's well and truly broken that side, and he's now trying to talk his way out of it. Also, shouldn't we be in more of a transition than them? I don't see us moaning, Okay, it's early days, but he's struggled to get any sort of level from that setup yet, and he's criminally underusing Rickie Lambert, and demonstrating he doesn't really know his game. All they needed to do was replace Luis Suarez and Glen Johnson, and maybe a CB at the level of Hummells - Lovren doesn't really upgrade them. Their summer signing policy was nothing other than a mess, but they Scousers will never admit that.
  18. The most deserved call up, ever. Fantastic person, leader and player. After rickie, £1,2m on him was a bargain in the grand scheme of things. It didn't seem it then...he took a drop down etc, but fully rewarded on both sides of the fence.
  19. They don't have a squad to challenge for the league. They have a squad to make a challenge for the top 4, maybe, but not the league. He's a bit of a dimwit, so not surprised at his comments.
  20. ''We have no chance''. Of course we do, what exactly is the point of thinking like that? And why bet against your own team, it's just weird.
  21. Looking at Spurs attendance tonight, the fans don't even seem to bothered about it. It's kind of like a European Carling Cup, and Thursdays is hoenstly the only day it can be played. Uefa aren't going to allow it to be played during the same time as their 'flagship' UCL games. I don't think you even get much money for winning, although I do believe the winner now gets a champions league place for next season - which is better than it was. Overall, I wouldn't say no. It's a good crack, some mental European away nights which can be priceless, but you need a big squad to be able to handle it - otherwise your league form will simply fall through the floor, but the catch 22 is that the competition doesn't provide enough financial incentive for teams to build big enough squads. The sides who generally do well are the sides who inadvertently missed out on the UCL qualification.
  22. I don't know, you tell us.

    Pelle

Graziano Pellè to be called up for Italy's squad to start qualifying for EURO2016, taking the place of Mario Balotelli - who will be left out. Cue Liverpool fans holding a minutes silence.
  24. Both great goals, both important goals....but for me, it was Pelle. It was the sheer audacity to even try it...the touch to flick it up to the perfect position, and then bang. That wasn't luck, that wasn't poor defending...it was just sheer class at every point.
