Rodriguez has returned - BREAKING: NEW CONTRACT SIGNED
S-Clarke replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
That wasn't the same situation at all. He signed a new deal in the summer of 2013, and left in the summer of 2014. So we had another year, on a bigger contract, which allowed us to sell him for a much bigger fee. Whatever happens in a years time, we're in a much stronger position. -

Probably, but you'll still get the usual ''Oh he only signed because he was injured and we had no real competition'. -

Oh good, a bit of good news which has been needed! Hopefully this signals the start of a couple more contract signings....dare to dream? -
Other than that, a really realistic signing.

Not at £120 p/w, no.
-
To be fair, last night they played an extreme tippy tap frustrating game with a team full of exactly the same player, just different names.
-
This is a bit odd, turned up on Emmanuel's twitter feed (pretty sure it's his account) and was then deleted promptly. Luckily someone took a screen grab!
-
So, is there a new deadline now? - So basically, what I can kind of sort of extract from that is that he's given us his decision and he wants to stay, albeit with slightly altered terms. To be fair, Utd and co have probably run a mile after his performances these past 6 weeks.
-
He's out until November this time, they think they've got to the route of his problems - but at the end of the day he's always been made of glass, talented player, but Liverpool fans say they need to replace him in the summer as they can't rely on him anymore.

http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/12943577._/?ref=mac Uh oh.

Most Liverpool fans have given up on Sturridge, and I'm inclined to agree with them.
-
Yep, that's true. It's all very, very tight. People will say our game is tough cause they're fighting for their lives, same can be said of Spurs home game. A very interesting weekend, makes it exciting! As long as we win, we'll be alright for 7th minimum, I'm sure.
-
That will underwhelm the Liverpool fans even more. Good player is Ings, but if Liverpool have any real title aspirations (as their fans want to believe) then they need to be looking higher up the ladder.
-
They probably increase wages upon relegation
-
Myhill would be decent, but as ''number 2'' (I think we'll be after 2 keepers). I hope, and think, our main keeper signing will be a young permanent addition. I don't want washed up crap like Green, just screams short-term.
-
No, he said that Gazzaniga would be in goal for Leicester and then Villa. Davis will be back for the City game to play his 300th game. He wanted to see the position of these 2 before making decisions on goalkeepers in the summer, so hopefully he now realises we need 2
-
Pretty much. Lukaku is a better player and has more potential, but like you said - £28m and 80k p/w potential? Not really. Pelle, as much as he is derided on here, has scored 3 more league goals than £28m Lukaku.
-
Some of the reactions on here tonight are just ridiculous.
-
No he wasn't, stop making things up. He was as creative as JWP, Morgan, Wanyama - i.e not very creative. That isn't his game, I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. Are you confusing him with another player or something? At the end of the day, Cork didn't want to play second fiddle. He wanted first team football and we couldn't give him that, so fair enough he went searching for that. No one did anything wrong.
-
Arsenal just have too many of the same player. Ozil, Ramsey, Cazorla, Wiltshire. They're all the same player. Jinking number 10's, who like to cut inside. I'm not sure why he thinks he can have all of those in one team, it will never work as it will just be a frustrating watch.
-
What ever happened to Callum Chambers? is he injured? he just seems to have dropped off the face of the earth.
-
Come on for christ sake, you can't call Jack Cork a goal scorer, it took him 3 years to notch one. He's the same sort of player, he's a deeper midfielder, not an attacking type. He was tried in that number 10 role, I remember Koeman alluding to it - but he wasn't suited.
-
Oh please stop.
