  1. I'd be happy with 5-0 in this one.
  2. Check out this stat from Liverpools last 84 league games... League games: 84 Goals against: 105
  3. It's not just the fact he was part of that back 4, he was actually at fault for at least 1 of the goals himself. It's a bit wtf really. Although the hate Lovren is getting over on RAWK is a nice bit of karma...they've had enough of him...
  4. He's not got anything against us, he just doesn't know what he's talking about. Probably the most annoying blabbering pundit there is. Never actually says anything, just babbles along.
  5. They look like a team who can just ground out results this year. They'll thrash teams, but equally edge over in some very tight games - they just have the extra know-how in there, their spine is fantastic and as strong as they've been since the Drogba/Lampard/Terry days. They look like a real challenger for Arsenals 'invincible' record if i'm honest.....(now watch them lose next week !)
  6. It was a penalty, but not a read card. Not sure why he didn't make a big deal of it. It may have made the game a little tighter for a while, but as they still had Vergini playing for them, then it was only a matter of time before we scored a few more. (I've never seen a worse player in the PL, seen him 2 or 3 times now)
  7. Don't understand why Davis always pulls the short straw! For me, he's one of the first names on the team sheet. He's completely dependable, technically very good, a leader. He's one of our key men, he's in the team every week for me.
  8. Will be a close game, Hughes had them playing football for a while but they've kind of reverted to type this season. A lot of their success is just down to their strength and power and the way they attack the long ball. I think we'll see what Toby is made of in this game, as he's not been particularly tested thus far. Players like Bojan are understandably totally lost in that team.
  9. Ah, down the bare bones again f'sure. I can see him walking, but it won't be his fault.
  10. Whops Dejan, how does YNWA sound now?
  11. Don't think Lallana will get his start against Madrid, he was rubbish. Lovren v Ronaldo and Benzema should be a good laugh.
  12. Not sure what QPR are playing at there, look completely doomed to be honest. Liverpool are just a mess. The result is the thing of gods, not ability. Lovren with another assist.
  13. An absolutely ridiculous score line. QPR scream relegation here if they can't score.
  14. He's a joke player these days. Should have hung up his boots, not trying to delay the inevitable. Lovren is probably their worst CB. Can't see him lasting here for long, it's 2/3 errors a game guaranteed. £20m, thank you.
  15. Lol @ Liverpool, what a complete and utter mess of a team. Brendan Rogers has done an amazing job of breaking his own side. It's so funny to watch.
  16. Chambers wasn't even an original call up, which makes it even more bizarre - as it suggests Clyne was chosen before him in the squad setup anyway. Losing in the CL obviously means more.
  17. Move to Liverpool.
  18. The amount of stick Pelle got after that first game was mental. The crowd jeering was one of the low points, sod all that happened in the summer, that was a real low point and the fans could have so easily created a really difficult situation. Luckily he's a strong bugger and has proven them all wrong.
  19. They started the game really well, they had good control and after 10 mins it looked like it could be a long afternoon. But we did get our chances, and were just much more clinical. Their defence was the worst I've ever seen at this level, but we were still supremely clinical.
  20. Sunderland fans think he's class, but whenever I've seen him he's a bit bambi on ice. Looks a truly abysmal player, shouldn't be playing at this level.
  21. Mane, Jay and Long will rotate that position. We have much more depth this year in that area. So much pace and movement.
  22. I remember reading before we signed him that he always created a silly amount of chances per game. On paper, teaming up the dutch leagues most threatening creative player with the leagues most prolific scorer looked a match made in heaven - it never usually works out like that though, but in this case it has. What a combo those 2 are. Intelligent, unselfish, composed. Not very quick but his ability to pick out a pass is as good as I've seen down at St Mary's. In terms of end product, he's a notch up from Lallana. And that's the all important thing here.
  23. I don't think it was possible to avoid a few ''WTF'' moments in the summer, and it didn't help with Ralf's poorly timed PR exercises. But as I said at the time, the appointment of Koeman eased my fears. All the talk about selling up, losing our ambition etc etc was blown away by the fact we'd just appointed Koeman. A manager of his stature would not be joining a club that had no ambition, so from the moment we brought him in I felt the ambition was still there from within. You do get the feeling that Les knew what was going on all along, and he didn't deserve any of the stick he got. We were bloody lucky he was still here this year.
  24. He moved Sunderland around all afternoon and completely unsettled them, just as he did against Newcastle. Yes, he may need a goal, but he wasn't bought for his goals - he was bought to offer us exactly what he's offering us right now, allows us to open the game and stretch the opponents.
