  1. It's another example of the collective rather than the individual. He had better players around him last year - Shaw, Fonte, Clyne, which he hasn't got at Liverpool. He had better players in front of him, Wanyama, Morgan, which he hasn't got at Liverpool. He's been thrown in there as a 1 man defense with the hope and expectation that he will be their leader and stop all their goals, but he has utter **** around him. Add to that the seemingly clueless tactical master plans and obvious non-coaching of defensive situations (that was still evident last year) then he hasn't got much chance to be honest. He's not a bad player, but not a great player - so he's not of the calibre to be able to take on all that he's needed to take on. He's drowning, basically. Or more likely, he's already drowned.
  2. Stop making yourself look an idiot, it will bite you.
  3. Had a really, really bad injury. Swansea spent big on Bony, and he never really recovered. Loaned out to Napoli where he continues to pickup niggles and knocks. Great bargain for 1 season, but probably not much use now.
  4. It was, yep.
  5. It's actually titled ''Liverpool's defense'', yet it's all about Lovren. Quite funny really. It's just the complete karma, he was an absolute arse trying to get his way out of here after we re-built his career. Let's be honest, he was a bit on the floor after his Lyon adventure and we took a chance, and a slight gamble. But as soon as a sniff of a big club came along, he threw his toys out and took to twitter to tell the world he wanted out, we weren't big enough bla bla. What is happening now couldn't be more appropriate. I hope he gets shipped off to Russia for a cup price fee in January, shiver in the cold Lovren. Lallana's experience, whilst not as dramatic, is almost as horrific. It's all they asked for. The one I feel for is Lambert, his career is pretty much on the floor now.
  6. Still young in GK terms, and still young to this league. He has all the natural attributes there.
  7. I remember De Gea when he first joined Utd. Young goal keeper, failed to command the area, let in some clangers...but they let him mature, they allowed him to develop, and he turned into a top class keeper. This is the lesson we should take from that.
  8. lol @ lovren. what a total mess of a player he is. To russia with love In January I think.
  9. How the hell was that allowed to stand? Funny, but for a game at this level, absoutley diabolical officiating. Doesn't give you much confidence in the other games!
  10. Lovren should be a good laugh.
  11. Fee's mean zilch, absolutely nothing these days. Not sure why people focus on them. Mane has talent, but is the typical eratic player that those type of players are. People cry out for ''pacy wide men'', and this is a pacy wide man. Erratic, inconsistent, frustrating, but still a potential threat. If people want more of a consistent wide man, then have a look in Barca's, Madrids and Bayerns squads - that's where those types are! Long wasn't bought soly for goals, it was all the other aspects of his game which create movement in and around the front 3 - he brings a work rate and a nuisance with his game that will add to us. Not the most refined player, not a natural goal scorer, but still a good attacking option.

    Hesketh

He didn't bring on Mayuka yesterday though, and started with Hasketh and subbed him with JWP. Mayuka will vanish down the list once we have players back from injury.
  13. He's not against anyone, he's just generally ****.

    Hesketh

Knee injury by the looks of it, he's having a scan today and they'll know more (so Koeman said). Doesn't look good for a player who has shown promise. Must be a horrible feeling, feeling like you're on top for the world -you've made it, only to then get a nasty injury which potentially puts you back to square one - if not further away. The reality is that it's a ruthless league, we may have been looking at Hasketh to provide us competition with Mane away on AFCON - but if he's injured for a while, we will need to buy, and his position in the squad will be pushed back further.
  15. Ignore him. Poor WUM trying to lap it up as we're losing games.
  16. I think you need to watch the goal back again, and explain just what exactly, in the name of physics and movement, how he was able to magically change the course of his body to meet the deflection within a milisecond? Unfortunately he's not magic.
  17. If we pay £10-15m for a player with only 6 months left on a deal, then someone at the club needs to be taken to the itchen bridge and shot. That would be pure desperation
  18. To even mutter the words Koeman and job security together is a disgrace. Have a word with yourself.
  19. When we attack and it works well, we create a front 3. Not sure how you've missed that during the start of this season.
  20. To be honest, apart from Spurs, Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal etc....no one can really boast amazing depth. Take a couple of good attacking players away from us, villa, newcastle, everton, Swansea...and we look weaker. We're not amoungst the weakest, quite a silly thing to say really, we're just one of the rest.
  21. We don't play a lone striker. We play Pelle as a focal point, with 2 players coming in from the flanks to join to make a front 3 - the full backs them bomb on to supply the width. What is defensive about that?
  22. Just like when Shaw went and we failed to replace him with anyone decent, oh and Lovren, and Lallana, oh and Lambert. Stop with the silly posts.
  23. Pelle is alright at the moment, working hard, but the supply into him is nothing short of horrific. So he's got nothing to work with, he's having to do it all by himself and he's not quite a player of that level to do that.
  24. Not sure if you're being sarcastic with the board cocked up line? We sold our entire spine, and they managed to replace them all and put us a decent position. They didn't cock anything up. If you honestly thought at the start of the season that it was all about maintaining last seasons success, then show me the post. No one expected this start, not one person. Anywhere. So no one cocked up any summer signings.
  25. Sorry, how could he have saved it? He was set to go in the direction of the flight of the ball, until it takes a wicked deflection at the last milisecond which alters the course totally. He was already set, and couldn't change that. Please can people stop blaming every goal on the GK, it's quite boring to read.
