Not much, apart from Koeman saying yesterday that he wants 1 or 2 more, specifically a wide player. Links seem to be pointing towards a utility RM/RB from Lazio (Alvaro Gonzalez), not any real concrete wide man links as yet though. But it looks as if the priority is a winger, and the 2nd signing will probably be more of a bonus or anything - not as urgent, but RB cover.

Because the relationship between the back 4 and the goal keeper is as crucial as any other. The people in front need to trust the GK, that trust and familiarity does not come when you keep chopping and changing the GK position. There are a few good reasons why not to.

The funds were there, they were able to agree fee's for Gylfi and Michu - but Pulis apparently didn't have enough say in getting the deal over the line, it was all handled by an internal transfer committe held together by that Moody bloke. That's where he's fallen over I think, he doesn't have enough responsibility to get players over the line and possibly feels that if he had more involvement he'd have been able to secure the likes of Gylfi/Mich etc.

Yeah, I thought that was quite a poor thing for Koeman to flash out in the public domain. Would have been better off saying that ''we have 2 keepers here, both very good number 1 keepers, they will be vying for the spot''. He may well have known deep down who his number 1 was, but it was kind of poor management to throw such conclusive words into the public domain. But on the other hand, why are our players so precious? Did cortese train them in a course on how to become a primadona or something? Because they're all damn good at it. Why couldn't he react like Davis did when Boruc took his place? or react like Freidel did when Lloris finally secured the number 1 spot?

It has, if this was Brendan Rogers openly talking about Clyne or whatever, we'd be up in the air! Koeman seems to get a bit confused with this transfer malarkey, not sure if it's a translation kind of thing, but one moment he's saying that he doesn't talk about players which are at other clubs, and then the next second he's naming who he's interested in! Love the openness, but it's going to get us a bit of a rep. if he carries on!
