If Lovren does end up going, it seems pretty clear to me that this is a fire sale. Lovren made it pretty clear he was happy here and was ignoring speculation, so if he does go it simply confirms that we are entertaining any phone call for any player. Scary times.

I don't think you can hold it against him in a personal way, but I do agree that as a club we have allowed him to become the player he has - he's grown with us, as much as we've grown with him. As much as we have a lot to thank him for, he will also have a lot to thank us for. You don't often get a player and a club matching so well at the right time, but that's what happened. It's been a true match made in heaven for the last 5 years, perfect fit for us all the way. I just don't think I'll be able to handle seeing him in another clubs kit though! Just plain odd.
