Rupert Lowe provided an interview to talk sport this week, in which he said that the academy was a great facility, but Southampton had 'sold off' the facility. He was referring to the Lodge, where Bale/Theo etc grew up. So the media have got hold of that, pulled it apart and made it sound like the entire Academy will close!!1111111111one (You usually only close something down when it's failing!) #goitv

I cannot see us spending £9-10m on a 2nd choice keeper tbh. Whatever happens, Forster would be the first choice and Boruc would then become the backup. He probably doesn't want to, hence the Bayern interest. As harsh as it sounds, that's probably the reality of it tbh.

To be fair, Forster is coming here as first choice. I think the prospect of being backup at Byern is larger than the prospect of being backup here, which is all he would be. Shame that it doesn't remove the Gazzaniga/Davis issue though!

They're clearly not going to spend £72m in one window, are they? A pointless criticism laid at them, if there ever was one. If you expect that sort of outlay, then go and support City.
