  1. Totally agree, It's been a hell of a ride. But let's be honest, we're not really in that bad a position. It's not like our owners have left and put us in admin or anything that drastic. The vision may be gone for now, but the club is still here in the top 10 of the PL.
  2. What's the need with the offensive comments exactly?
  3. The chairman has left. The manager and players haven't. So we're not a laughing stock. In fact, no one really cares.
  4. To be honest, a lot of what is being said tonight is being said emotionally and at the heat of the moment. Exactly the same happened when Adkins was sacked. It's easy to just fly off because it's frustrating news. People were saying identical stuff when Adkins was sacked ''We'll now be relegated'' ''We're a laughing stock'' ''The 5 years progress has been wiped out'' ''We have no stability'' etc. At the end of the day, it was the right call and we're now in a better position than we ever where. I think the Liebherr's deserve a bit of time before we all jump off a cliff and assume the worst. Let's just wait and see.
  5. They do want him, that's pretty much confirmed. Will be interesting to see how this has handled now. £7-8m is an enormous fee for someone of his age, but a replacement would need to be purchased before we should even conciser it.
  6. It does make me wonder, why people have so much time on their hands to make up waffle on twitter. Too many unemployed people out there!
  7. Why on earth do they ever bother speaking to supporter groups? Who do they represent exactly? They might as well speak to Jim, Bob and Ian at the pub.
  8. Why are we a laughing stock????
  9. Nothing for now I don't think. A bit of a business as usual approach until the new CEO or whatever comes in. Until then, it's all speculation and rumor. I would hope by the time the new CEO is here, we'd have a clear understanding of the ambitions and interests of our owners. That's what we have to sit tight and wait for now. Important for the players, management and staff to rally around each other I think
  10. I doubt that will happen. Please calm down.
  11. Dejan Lovren ‏@DejanLovren05 18m Thank you Nicola Cortese for everything . #respect
  12. Well, that wouldn't have happened before. That's for sure.
  13. Best thing would be to let the dust settle on this. They've released a statement clarifying things for now, which is what was needed. The next time to speak will be the appointment of a new chairman. At that point I would expect to see clear signals as to what the intentions are.
  14. It's waffle. Ignore it. Only fact is that NC has resigned. Everything else is rumour, scare mongering and tosh.
  15. A bit of a silly assumption. The Liebherr's are bright people, you said so yourself, so she will have surrounded herself with football people advising her. It's naive to think it's just her.
  16. Why is spending money the be all and end all of everything?
  17. It's really hard to say at the moment. I think he was being loyal to NC back in May, and a lot of it was very PR driven if we're honest. At the end of the day he's an employee of Southampton FC, not of Nicola Cortese. Of course, there will be huge questions in terms of the direction/finances/ambition etc, but that's something that will only be answered in time. I think it would show a lot more respect for everyone, if the staff, players, manager etc rallyed around and put us in the best possible position come the summer - for whatever happens.
  18. Whops.
  19. Charlie, you're starting to get on my tits now!
  20. Crabs, I'm starting to think your thread from the other day has jinxed us...!
  21. Yeah, nice and respectful.
  22. Nah, there'll be no new signings. Can be sure of that now.
