  1. Well, the usual suspects try to derail this thread with their continuous drivel. For what it's worth, I'm also encouraged by how this team has grown from the start of the year. The start was always going to be tough, what with our start, but It was a lot tougher than most anticipated - even our squad and management. We've recovered though and are turning into a pretty competitive PL team. I still hold the belief that the 2nd half will be a lot more enjoyable than people anticipate at this moment in time. This team is only going to get better.
  2. Wow, ok.
  3. Don't give him the time of day Chez, the guy is a loon.
  4. I was actually talking about the idiot poster in this thread, but yeah it also counts towards Boruc as well. He's a bit different, but that's GK's for you!
  5. I've not really seen a great deal of this lad, City rave about him as the next best thing - but they've kept him quiet around England and have often loaned him abroad. Seems that English scouts are starting to get the scent though. Could be a good loan for someone.

    Les Reed

tbf they weren't a lower league side.
  7. Fair enough to him for coming back and sticking his head above water. But he's still a complete nutjob.
  8. It was actually the right hand post, not the cross bar. Bit of a snap shot as he cut in.
  9. I'd go with the ratings and most of what you say to be honest. Being able to grind out a result whilst not playing well, is the sign of a team with a strong mentality and a real togetherness. You can't win pretty every week, and 3 points is 3 points whether that's a 4-1 or a 1-0. We're 15th, a couple of points from the drop and have been moving along very nicely for the last few months. If anyone can't see the progress we've made in the last few months, then they are blind.
  10. This is typical agent driven twaddle.
  11. I knew this would be the case if we didn't score a 2nd. It will be all about the dive, and nothing about the fact we got a massive win.
  12. Like QPR beating Chelsea...
  13. I dunno, the Everton home game is there to get something from.
  14. Ramirez also went off with a knock today.
  15. They were probably just assuming, based on what it looked like. Hopefully won't be too serious.
  16. Write this one off? Keep the G/D at a decent level.....is probably all we can expect. We might catch them on an off day, but to be honest we'd need all our best players available to cause them an issue.
  17. He'll slide sideways, somewhere. He's been known to post crap on a few occasions.
  18. Commentators said dislocated shoulder? Can be quite straight forward if they pop back in, however if it's torn ligaments etc then you could be looking at a month +.
  19. Also a note for Yoshida, who is getting better and better and better. Such a composed defender now.
  20. lol @ QPR, they must be pig sick.
  21. 2nd half was diabolical from us, shows our urgent need to stregthen this window. - esp with the Injures to Gaston and Shaw, on top of Lallana and Fonte. We are stretched. But this is the sort of win you need to grind out when you're down there, and we've shown the attitude and the courage to throw our bodies on the line to see it through.
  22. His best game in a saints shirt, and he really hasnt' done much wrong in any of the games he played. People just getting too precious over that spurs incident.
  23. That is an absolutely enormous win, but at what costs? We didn't deserve to win that at all, that's probably as well as Villa have played for weeks, and were absolute tosh in that 2nd half. We got away scott free today, and with Reading winning, this was a huge, huge, win - especially with the fixtures we have coming up. Can't deny what a pivotal game this is going to be for us.
  24. play the ball into the corners. keep it there, 2 mins. thanks.
  25. Rodriguez you idiot, play it into the chennel.
