ironically with the price at £25 it is quite possible shrewsbury would have ended up with less money due to a tiny crowd. We did them a favour.

Some of these posts remind me of the conversations i have at work in west london "oh yes, i'm into football, i'm a massive chelsea fan" "oh right, do you go much" "i watch on tv mostly" ah ok, massive pal, so big you can't even get yourself down the ground and support "your" team. at least you know who sponsors anelka's boots.
-
when their reason for not going is genuine, fair enough, or just say you cant be arsed, but don't use the old "cant have my own seat" nonsense, or "the ground will be half full" you can either be bothered to go or you cant. shame we didn't draw someone like Gateshead away , just a few hundred of us up there would have done for me. proper.
-
i have more respect for fans who go regularly than those who don't "because they cant be bothered with the 1st round of the cup" you can find the elite at the northern away games on the train.
-
it's a right? have a word with yourself and ask if you are being realistic, some people are so precious, almost like the league of gentlemen don't let anyone else touch their special seat!! I used the JPT last year as a chance to sit in a few different areas of the ground. i would prefer away games in the cup, chance to do a few new grounds, but ultimately want to have a decent cup run and get through a few rounds, a lot of you are so short sighted think about games like Middlesbrough v Chesterfield, one of the greatest cup semi finals i can remember, and Wycombe playing Liverpool in the semi final at Villa Park, with a decent draw we can still have a good cup run regardless of the division we are in.
-
he is absolutely right though. you cannot say you can't be bothered to turn up, and then try and claim to be a loyal fan at the same time. I'm going, really looking forward to it. Love the FA Cup. Hope we get through will be buzzing for the draw on sunday.
-
you can still sit on the halfway line, you can still buy tickets with your mates. get a grip and stop looking for excuses not to go.
-
chance to top up your european ground list pal ;-) thats how i got most of mine!

The support was superb and should be used as a model to aspire to, and Dell days that bird is Linda pizzuti apparently she posted on twitter asking for advice on songs to singhttp://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-fc/liverpool-fc-news/2010/11/04/linda-pizzuti-wife-of-new-liverpool-fc-owner-john-w-henry-seeking-reds-songs-suggestions-100252-27599451/

Like posting pointless information on an internet site? I think apathy rules in games like this, and people use price etc as an excuse not to go, but it could be a decent cup tie, last years cup run was enjoyable up to the 5th round. Guess games like this can seperate the loyal fans from the not so loyal. And I'm looking forward to sitting somewhere other than my usual seat for a change.
-
Do they do chicken madras, pilau rice, peshwari naan? Couple of onion bhajis as well. I might do it 2nd round of the cup if we get through. Toilet rolls in the fridge?
-
Why? It's bloody cheap, one of best seats in ground a cooked meal and a drink for £35 (+ vat I think) . Bargain really.
-
That story is absolute rubbish, but the most worrying thing is the fabricated evidence being presented to the jury, using inference to suggest the defendents were responsible for what these skate 'witnesses' , which are general observations rather than direct accusations at the men in the dock. Skate Keith 77 years old was surprised at the hatred for f&ck sake was he at none of the games in the 80s ?, and the dosy slag who saw the car bonnet another bit of jackanory.
-
Yeah of course they would have left eventually but if they achieved something first they could have been saints greats, now they are top players who have a loose connection with our club. I feel no sense of enjoyment in seeing them do well.
-
Yes we were the man utd of the south. Massive. This needs to be kept in perspective, Arsenal are doing £10 tickets for carling cup 5th round v wigan
-
Watching walcott score that goal tonight and hearing about bale I personally find it very depressing. They may well have came through the youth team but they will never be remembered as great saints players, just what could have been if they had stayed.
-
"I'm not sure whether they still think they're a Manchester United or a Chelsea - they're playing among the smaller fry of the Football League now," Turner added. haha, ok then pal, we hadn't noticed. who did we play last night?
-
Yep, sat at Eastleigh for an hour going nowhere, then eventually moved and followed the broken down freight train as far as basingstoke, missed my connection at clapham, eventually pulled into Waterloo at 00.55 , 90 minutes late, there weren't that many Dagenham on board to be fair. Taxis laid on from waterloo to get people home but completely unorganised, "duty manager" with strong african accent seemed to be fully qualified in rude customer service, he'll be getting a mention in my letter of complaint. Arrive home 1.44am. At least claiming back the train fare will pay for another home game journey down. Good game though, was worth the journey down.
-
thats not bad going really, as said there will only be 200 odd Dagenham there. If we can get 20k that will be good, although at £7.50 a ticket we should attract a good crowd v anyone.
-
always makes me laugh when people like you have a pop at our own support, what exactly made these people "chavs" and if you are such a perfectly well presented gentlemen, why do you think this notts county "irate fan" chose you to have a go at?
-
more inaccurate reporting of a nothing incident, good luck to the 5 who have gone not-guilty, at least getting in front of the 12 members of the public hopefully some common sense will prevail and they will see that it is a lot of wasted tax payers money bringing the men to court. it is disgraceful that the press can publish the lads names and addresses where they have yet to be found guilty.
-
where exactly did the incident take place? I didn't see anything coming out of the ground, turning left and walking back to town, I'm sure if this happened near the ground others would have noticed it and stepped in, presume it was on a quiet side street ?

lol @ hooters. it is rubbish, not even a strip pub, more of a diner. there are loads of better pubs in Nottingham. But feel free to head there, will make it easier for everyone else to get served elsewhere.
