  1. yeah really hilarious pal.
  2. Obviously a bit bored, but was wondering, is this season on course for being the highest number of away games mid-week? or at least a record for games not being on a saturday 3pm? Causing havoc with train bookings and time off work. MK Dons Yeovil Oldham Hartlepool Walsall Charlton Exeter Dagenham (on a monday but not really mid-week as such) Plymouth will have a moved kick off time due to clashing with Wales v England Peterborough away - amended kick off 5.20pm time due to Sky Rochdale away - FA Cup 5th round weekend (you never know) on another note, interesting some other league one clubs now let you pay for your tickets using Tesco CLUBCARD points!! http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/product.aspx?R=1438&bci=29|New%20Clubcard%20Deals*4294965432|Sports%20Events
  3. I would guess 550 for Oldham, especially if we have decent results v Exeter and Dagenham, although if we draw with Blackpool and have a replay up there Oldham turn out could be as low as 350. I think the lowest away turn out I have been in is 150 odd at Sunderland on a Tuesday in January 2003, 1-0 win was quality. Is this season going to be a record for mid-week away LEAGUE games? MK Dons Yeovil Oldham Hartlepool Walsall Charlton Exeter Dagenham (ok not mid-week but technically not a saturday away game either) It wouldnt surprise me if Brighton still gets moved from Easter saturday like it was last year, and Plymouth away will have the kick off move eventually as currently clashes with Wales v England on the same day. Rochdale away FA Cup 5th round day (who knows?)

    Taxi for Do Prado.

HAHAHA what an absolute moron this dibden purlieu chap is. i saw the KKK out in force yesterday cheering on Jaidi and Chamberlin, as they have done the years with the wallace brothers, ken monkou, the list goes on. keep working on your theories though.
  5. He was undercover in the northam. Wearing a santa hat disguise.
  6. Fu&k sake those virgin st marys jokes were over done back in 2001 before friends provident signed up, not original at all. Any company that pays significant money for stadium naming rights is wasting their time, it will always be referred to as st marys, unlike an emirates or Reebok. Draper tools, rank Xerox or air Florida get my vote for shirt sponsors, unless we are going back to the pony days in which case get in DIMPLEX !!!
  7. There was a cash turnstile at charlton last year and seeing as we've only sold a couple of thousand that should leave another thousand for sale on the day.
  8. If the game is off it will be a disgrace, seriously it really isn't that bad at all up here, the sun is out today and as long as they grit the stairways it will be fine.
  9. when you say all the way to Barking, how do you plan to get there from waterloo? you would still have to get on the tube to get through London to Fenchurch street. Quite a few pubs round there in the city will be closed with it being a bank holiday.
  10. I seriously cannot believe this game being called off is even being considered. I live / work in London. Nearly all of the snow and ice has now gone melting away and especially all of the main road pavements are clear just due to people walking on them. Doesn't look like it will snow over the next two days so this game will be on.
  11. your easiest route would be Southampton to Waterloo, then Jubilee line from there to West Ham (20 mins) changing on to the District line to Dagenham East (another 20 mins) . Dagenham is a fair way out so quite a few stops, going via a few east end pubs will make the day out more enjoyable.
  12. Ha brilliant post, inspirational.
  13. In most cases I agree with this, but surely the small allocations at Brighton and bournemouth will sell out to season ticket holders who have done 3+ aways at least.
  14. I think the game will be on for Sunday http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/8? hopefully the snow will clear up to assist those having to drive to the match. Does anyone know what is the latest on ticket sales? When I spoke to the ticket office last Thursday they seemed to think quite a few from the 2nd batch of tickets had been sold.
  15. those were the days. we probably saind to each other, "i wonder where we'll be in 7 years time....." you meeting up with that family you made friends with that day? I recall the funny response you had from other D&R fans when you posted your account on the day on their forum!! haha
  16. ANOTHER ADVANCED TRAIN TICKET WASTED. Still might travel but this season is becoming a away fans nightmare. 4th "saturday" away game that will now be mid-week, added to the list of MK Dons, Oldham, Hartlepool.
  17. it's not looking too bad on here . http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/2?area=Walsall I reckon it is 50/50 at the moment.
  18. they said would go on general sale so would be same as any other game. Should give them enough time to post to you before the match, just keep an eye on the official site as they said it would be announced on there. According to the original story on official site any unsold tickets will go on sale 9am Monday morning.
  19. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/PreviewDetail/0,,10280~2245620,00.html I didn't know Olly Lancashire was a feature in their back line......if we cannot score at Walsall we know we have problems!
  20. The application I submitted included a season ticket number which had no away games on it and all have been successful, so fairly safe to say anyone who applied got one (or when they looked at the esteemed company the customer number had applied with gave them a ticket through association) I had a couple of messages with the ticket office on a unrelated subject but when asking about Dagenham they said it was highly likely some tickets will go on general sale next Monday, so if you do want to go and haven't got a ticket yet keep an eye out for that. Charlton is still selling well apparently.
  21. Exeter at home last year was a promotion, it was £10 for adult and child in the chapel.
  22. It is laughable, they want TRIPLE pay and a day off in lieu for working, and will probably get that as well on the following bank holidays, an absolute joke, there are loads of people who would love to work for London Underground which pays very well for not particularly highly skilled jobs. Anyway, hopefully even if this does go ahead a service will still operate that will allow those of us in London to get to Bank and then the DLR from there. Impressed we have sold over 1600 already, would be great to take 2500 which is decent based on a 1pm kick off and no trains up from southampton
  23. well their last home game was called off for a frozen pitch so don't think they do have under-soil heating. http://www.saddlers.co.uk/page/News/0,,10428~2236134,00.html Will be annoyed if this one is off as once again have advanced train tickets booked, no point worrying about it at the moment though as the forecast changes so much, lets see what it's like on Thursday. MK Dons wasn't too bad earlier this season as had nothing booked and could still get back on the night by train. The way this season is going anyone who manages to do the full set of fixtures will deserve an award, Yeovil away was inconvenient, but the 2nd half of the season featuring Oldham, Exeter and Hartlepool away mid-week in the first 2 months of the year.
  24. Will print off that letter and send it to my MP over the weekend, good work chaps. And as a side note, for those people who want to play the "it's not safe" card, it might have slipped you attention that every weekend there are SOLD OUT packed gigs / concerts where standing is still legal and people certainly bounce around and charge into each other, anyone who have seen footage of the areas in front of the stage at festivals will see more chance of a crush then you ever would at a modern football ground. I remember being at Oasis at City of Manchester stadium in 2005, ironically an all seater stadium but where the pitch is used for standing area for concerts, the start had to be delayed due to crowd control, football crowds are much easier to control (limited capacity in each stand). so it is clear to me that football is discriminated against and hopefully this bill will go someway to reversing this unfair treatment.
  25. I expect we will have to apply in writing for a ballot for tickets for this one? I am going up and back on the train. There are £11.50 singles going up from Euston on the day of the game (even cheaper if you have a YP railcard) not much in the way coming back the next day but there are other options if you want to do this really cheaply from the London area you can currently get : Megabus coach up - £1 single available on coach that arrives mid-afternoon to Manchester. Megabus coach back - £6 single on coach back to London Victoria Wednesday morning. Travelodge in Manchester available for £19 that night. You would need to take 2 days off to do this, but surely worth it for this game.
