  1. have none of your 4 mates ever bought a ticket before? or do you know anyone who could lend you customer numbers? View From the Top posted on here that his 4 customer numbers were available to be used. send him a PM I think they will need to put them on sale to databased unlinked and allow season ticket holders to buy extra for us to sell out.
  2. update on ticket sales, says over 25,000 sold but I think that might include the away section of 4500, if not then we are up to 29k It's not really clear. I can't work out when tickets will go on sale to database without being linked to another game as well. Anyway, I'm sure we will sell out eventually - hopefully make a similar atmosphere to Leeds last night v Arsenal. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2271847,00.html
  3. If you are going to be in Southampton you might as well do the United game as well, if you can only make 2 games a season a combination of Manchester United at St Marys and Exeter away is a good one to do, get the two extremes of English football. I am not sure if the Man United tickets will go on sale to people on the database without being linked to another match, but worth emailing the club with your customer number and explain you are from Norway and they might be able to sort something out for you.
  4. Good stuff. Out of interest, what route do you take to get from Norway to Exeter? That is going to be a complicated journey depending on where you are coming from. Don't get your hopes up for an amazing atmosphere as the away end at Exeter's ground is small and uncovered terrace, good that you get to experience standing but it is hard to make a lot of noise there. I was talking to some Rosenburg fans at Atletico Madrid earlier this season and they were saying quite a few of them take in games across Europe during the winter as the domestic season stops, so they use cheap flights to England to get their football fix.
  5. That's funny cause I've been emailing Plymouth about it and after bombarding their inbox finally got a reply saying no decision has been made yet. Also, what if schneiderlin was called up for French u21s, doble for Wales and chamberlain for England u21s, we could in theory request for fixture to be re-arranged due to international call ups.
  6. For anyone in two minds about doing this one I thoroughly recommend it, 1) it is one of the last great old away terraces in English football, check out some of the pics in the awayfans guide link below, it holds loads and gives you a chance to experience what it is like to stand on a proper terrace away from home for perhaps the last time, with Peterborough planning to demolish the stand at the end of the season (i say proper as compared to Exeter where we'll be a few days earlier which is just a few uncovered steps) 2) the end holds just under 4000 a chance to take a massive following, should be pay on the day so can make you decision spur of the moment, no ticket tax, would be good to get over 2000 up there 3) It can be done in under an hour from Kings Cross and the train station is only a mile from the ground. Peterborough is just out of the network railcard zone, but you can get a return to Huntingdon with 1/3rd off (network railcard) then a seperate return from Huntingdon to Peterborough. http://www.footballgroundguide.com/peterborough_united/
  7. Any update on ticket sales for this one? I'm surprised block 2 still has availability. If 12,500 were sold to season ticket holders and 4500 away fans allocation, couple of thousand corporate and 7000 sold yesterday would expect us to be up to 30k by the end of the week. when do they go on sale to database not linked to another game?
  8. To be fair there was a great cause on here the other day for Kenya through the saints foundation, as you are lucky enough to be in possession of 2 signed shirts why not donate one of them towards raising the £20k needed for the project. How did you come into possession of the shirts? buying them then hanging around outside the ground to get them signed? when you say whole squad does that Include Pulis?
  9. But unlike United you can buy them both online, that's what I've done.
  10. is this kid worth getting excited about? how many games has he actually played in his career? Did he ever get in Pompey's team? If he is any good surely he would have been snapped up as soon as he left the skates?
  11. I watched brentford v exeter on sky last night in jpt area final both teams throwing everything at each other on a heavy pitch and have to do it all again in a couple of weeks for the 2nd leg. Bearing in mind exeters small squad if we lose there on Feb 1st we can not use "tiredness" as an excuse
  12. The online ticket system is awful, compared to what I have used at other clubs, Fulham, Coventry, few German and Spanish. You should be able to logon, select the block you want and available seats should be highlighted for selection, once sold they are shaded and can no longer be bought. It works really well and allows the user to pick the exact seat of choice. These clubs also had scanners on the turnstiles, hopefully it is somthing the club are going to look at.
  13. Bear in mind the kingsland northam corner will probably all be standing as as extension of the northam so going in blocks 37, 38 or 39 should be decent, or the back half of block 4.
  14. Tickets for the match or for cheesy Tuesday at club arena? Does anyone know how ticket sales are going for that?
  15. spot on Grammy, just what i was trying to say earlier in the thread before Nick and his pal Alpine started the we know best lecture, implying if you disagree with them then you to are risking our promotion hopes!!
  16. of course they wont. you'll still hear plenty of verses of United's new favourite song "we'll do what we want, we'll do what we want, we're man united, we'll do what we want"
  17. I've got mates who go regularly with various clubs and a lot of premiership clubs now have ends which stand the whole time, spurs and man city inparticular have huge areas near the away fans that stand and the stewards don't even bother to get them to sit anymore. Spurs / Newcastle / Liverpool / West Ham / Man Utd / Man City stand at every single away game now, the whole end, its strength in numbers and once the whole end is up the stewards dont even bother. I'm not surprised someone hit a steward in the northam, the way some of them speak to people they provoke it.
  18. Yes i'm sure a lot of profit could be made, although i wouldn't do that as have 2 or 3 mates after a ticket and would pass it on to them at face value. Ironically tickets in the away end for the Millenium stadium are £15 and £25 so it could be cheaper for me to go to a Euro 2012 international qualifier than a league one match!!
  19. surely it would be better to do a double header and do them both? I've just been told that ticket is mine so got the option of doing both games now. if they are the same time it will be a real dilemma.
  20. ok you lot carrying on panicing about being in the 4th round of the cup posting a load of boring rubbish on the net. have fun.
  21. Well said. there are some people on here who seem to spend their whole lives worrying about what might happen, we are in the 4th round of the FA Cup against the top team in the country, this is a good thing, chance to get a decent atmosphere and fill the ground, who knows maybe even some of the money raised to fund a signing to make the squad stronger in January!! Saints are more than capable of slipping up at Exeter regardless of the FA Cup, yet if we don't win there you for a fact there is certain characters on here loving it so they can rush on with their i told you so posts.
  22. we don't. some of you need to stop bloody worrying about everything, the players can handle an extra game, injuries happen both in league and cup games, the Blackpool and Oldham games were two of the best this season. Just enjoy it and see what happens. I'll be at the United and Exeter games and looking forward to them both equally.
  23. I must admit I thought it was weird exeter sent us half the tickets in advance with more to come if needed, don't know why they didn't just send us them all as chances are we'd sell out. There were loads of saints in the home end last year.
  24. I would say it is highly unlikely to get custodial for ABH as a first time offender. If he was to plead guilty, and in mitigation argue provocation and in this case the "victim" is clearly not classed as "targeting a vulnerable individual" as i understand he was a cage fighter, then i would say a hefty fine, some community service, or perhaps even a suspended sentence. Lets hope so anyway. Top player and I want him in the side.
  25. to be fair, he has served his sentence so he deserves a chance to get on with his life now. Hopefully it a more modest way using his position as a footballer to give something back to society either financially or giving his time to youth football projects etc.
