  1. The fact their 1st team manager is being asked about the game and from the sound of it will be in the dugout clearly shows this is a Portsmouth v Southampton u21s , need to be very clear on that as they'll give it the big one gloating if they win (which is likely unfortunately)
  2. Anyone know if this is going to streamed at all? Or even radio coverage?
  3. Agree, it's why I couldn't understand when others were getting carried away about it being a 9/10 transfer window , it didn't make any sense to me
  4. He'll come back as first team coach with Lawrie McMenemy as Director of Football dream team and bring back the glory years.

Moneyball Think of the resale potential once these youngsters have Premier league experience $$$$$$$$

I've sat close behind his goal for a few games, no shouting or command , maybe that develops with age
  7. Would be a shame for his time here to end like that but can see it happening, we had sacked in the morning chants Leeds at home and it will get worse Last 3 away games combined 0 goals 2 shots on target Got to be time up surely

Completely agree, not his fault and a massive jump from league one to this, there was quite a bit of unfounded hype when we signed him, he's a young lad with a bit of lower league experience not surprising he's going to take a while , problem is we don't have the luxury of time

He made some good saves today but so did McCartney at times, not seen anything from Bazunu this season that makes me think he'll make a big difference.

He'd have been ok as a £1M signing take a punt on his potential but Man City saw us coming and rinsed us for £15M, he's only played league one football ffs, could well come good but as I've mentioned before he doesn't seem to talk and organise the defence at all which we badly need
  11. I think you are right, centre mid is so important and we are so poor there. Apparently last three away games we've scored 0 goals and have had a combined total of 2 shots on target, that's unbelievable really in 270 minutes of football
  12. Desperate for a Romeu style player
  13. Like we did in last seasons 0-0 draw
  14. Went to the game, was a comfortable win despite being down to 10 men for an hour (looked a very harsh decision to send off Lawrence) Sam Amo-Ameyaw lots of tricks but needs to learn when to release the ball. Thierry Small back at left back I thought looked out of sorts, no pace to take on a man when attacking might need to change position for a big lad. Doyle and Pearce up front look a good partnership
  15. How much would it cost us to pay up his contract now?
  16. Completely agree, we've already had the shambles of Kingsland block 31 telling existing season ticket holders pay up a few hundred quid more or move, someone I know spoke to the ticket office who explained was for semi-corporate experience (when they were tying it in with Gasworks access last season), absolute joke as they can't even sell their existing corporate packages always empty space over there. The club has completely lost sight of its core fanbase , infact they seem to resent the more traditional fan - we don't spend as much money as a Premier league day-tripper
  17. I wasn't there on Saturday but scenes sound similar to Marseille v Frankfurt the other week?
  18. They have been promoting it , but only sold a couple of thousand from the look of it so far.
  19. Interesting last season 0-0 draw we had Bednarek and Stephens centre back pairing and I think McCarthy in goal ....
  20. You'd hope so, however Saints news story makes it very clear its a B match the Pompey makes no mention of academy, youth, B etc https://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/news/2022/october/ticket-information-hampshire-cup/
  21. Hampshire Senior Cup
  22. Yep agree, fantastic PR for them to beat us , their fans will love it. We've got so many first team squad players that have hardly had any competitive minutes let them have a run out.
  23. Out of the pizza cup , hope we play a bit of a stronger B team at Fratton Park next week , regardless of micky mouse competition always have to win that one.
  24. Forest mate of mine reckons they're going for Tuchel , not sure where they're getting this arrogance from perhaps signing so many players you believe anyone would join you given the chance. Stranger things have happened I suppose
  25. Last time I went to a game in this competition was Bournemouth Poppies (of the Wessex league) away , we played a mix of u18s in the game who managed to scrap through
