I don't think the FA cares much about when our season starts, who is our manager, the uncertainty fans feel etc. They will do their investigation in their own tempo and when they damn well please. The verdict will be ready when it is ready. If that is before preseason, the start of the season or some time after the season has started means nothing to them and they feel absolutely no need to come out with updates along the way. It will drop like a bomb when it does (or it might get leaked right before).

I would also be faking a little injury if I had just done that effort to go past a keeper... 😉 Looked like a drunk man trying to round the keeper

They will not take anything like a potentially missed bonus into consideration when determening if he has been punished or not. Most likely, they won't even care if he has in some shape or form been punished. They will look at it from their angle, and they will find him guilty of som form of misconduct. The way power works is that those in power tends to like to use it. My only hope is that the punishment will be on the softer/shorter side.

Don't think Haaland ever made a sporting choice between the two. The question was more "am I English or am I Norwegian?"
-
My mind was not 100% on the match due to picture... and read a little fast through the next comments But this next one made me stop up and think I might have got the above reactions wrong...
-
The problem is the English language 😉 I have now decided on behalf of my country, that the BBC can no longer refer to us as Norway. You must all now say "Norge", the way we say it

The right call made by the club IMO. There is no loyalty from players if they can get a better deal elswhere. Why would we be loyal to a player that has cost us a lot, and provided very little, when we needed an upgrade if we went up? And to be honest, I am pleased we are not relying on him again to stay fit for large parts of next season.

The club's financial outlook (2026/27 season and beyond)

By this, do you mean the monkey chicken petting zoo? -
I don't think a single Southampton fan would make the argument that we are used to the same standard of goalkeepers as Bayern... I think the point/reaction was that you called Peretz a decent Championship player.

Thanks for the info. Good to hear, even though he still probably will go if a good offer for all parties comes in, it’s nice to know he probably won’t be pushing for it
-
I agree, the only small hope I have is that I thought it looked like he worked a little harder defensively when Tonda used him towards the end… but he probably needs a fresh start somewhere else if he is to get more out of his potential.
-
True, but on the flip side, good players will take their chances and make sure they play regularly. Edozie clearly has something, but I think both a lack of end product and more importantly hard defensive work is the main reasons managers have been reluctant to play him regularly.
-
If it is to get better pay, or to wait and see if better terms are found elswhere, I agree with you. But if he is taking advantage of the situation to try and negotiate a longer contract with us, I could understand him.
-
It might not be pushing for better terms, it could be for a longer deal.

Dragan Šolak interviews with BBC and Daily Echo (June 5, 2026)

Yeah, I would guess his agents (because they are all greedy, evil bastards 😉) are telling him to wait untill after the World Cup, as a good WC would give them more options and better grounds for negotiating. Or, he could end up injured, and without a contract. Massive gamble -

You really are looking at every little bit of info concerning this through a glass half empty, aren't you? I guess you really want him to stay, and maybe that is the reason you think like this? I think it's 50/50 if he signs or not. We don't know how he really feels, and in the end it is now his descision. -
Thats just a date for player registrations. Deals can be done and dusted before, their licences etc won't be transferred until after that date. So, yeah, you're right, they are officially our players after that date.
-
Don't stop there. I've been boasting to all my mates that he is the best keeper in Europe! But that might be somewhat swayed by the fact I have gone from watching Bazunu to him each week...
-
I was going to say the same. This is not the way to go. That is OK if we are going for mid table with a chance of sneaking into the playoffs.
-
The difference is that they know it is being watched/available. If they had anything to hide, or something special to drill - they wouldn't have streamed it, or they would have done that another day. In my mind, Arsenal streaming the last training has nothing to do with spygate, and any comparison is meaningless.

We probably won't hear anything about the FA investigation and potential lawsuit until after the FA have given their verdict. So we will plan with Tonda as manager until the FA gives him a ban, and then we will continue to plan with Tonda as we go through appeal etc, and by the time all that is over, the season has started and we have again promoted a new manager from within (Garner or Lallana)... SR don't need no help damaging their image! 😉
-
I agree with you, and I don't think Tonda will be our manager next season even if the players, club and many supporters (including myself) want him. The interesting part is that the club has begun to leak stories like "the players are behind Tonda" and "Tonda was not the instigator". I guess they are trying to sway the narrative to better suit what they want/plan (Tonda to stay).
-
Nope. I think they can take as long as they damn well please.
