I agree with what you are saying, but the figure you say is a bit low imo. When you consider that 12,500 each home game are season tickets. So the club makes no cash from them each game. (Maybe a few quid on beer, but does the club get this money?)

I think Cortese has said on a couple of occasions the club is not in any debt. I assume that would include Markus in that. I also of the opinion that whilst we are spending LOADS on wages for a league 1 side, we are getting good crowds in, and progression in the cups has done the coffers nicely too. If Markus was to suddenly up and leave, i think we have the ability to cope with our current spending without the money coming in from anyone else. That sets us apart big time from the blue few.

I would think they would "pull a sickie" for the two weeks to sort themselves out with a new club. On O'Hara, I remember him being interviewed one of the other time they didn't pay wages and he said (jokingly) that he was making a killing from it giving other players loans as he was still being paid by Spuds anyway. Non-League Telford United were paying Lee Mills £2k a week in the conference. So its not unreasonable to think that Rickie was on £5k at brizzle, I would be surprised if he wasn't on £8-10k here. Also, I imagine Thomas is still on quite a hefty wedge too. Anyway imo Puncheon would be a decent signing but I have to say I would prefer we could get a straight Wotton replacement in.
