Now I dont mean to get on his back or anything, but for...well since he came back from his arm injury he has been a shadow of his younger self. Never looks to take on his man, always seems to want to play the back back then spin off his man to get round the back but doesn't have the first touch to get it under control at the moment. I would have said last year he was 10x the player of Aaron Lennon, and his hat-trick against Croatia was class. This season, I cant see how he can justify getting picked for Arsenal and is so far off getting anywhere near the World Cup. Hope he can get things sorted out and get back to his best soon. Whilst I agree with this I feel I need to ask what would be so bad about this? Then teams like Hertha, Sparta and Malmo could gain the huge financial rewards for getting into the group stages of the CL. When the new rules about the number of foreign players comes into effect then these teams will have to buy players from thier own country thus spreading out this vast wealth through the league in that country. Given a few years to really take effect this would then allow teams from the Czech Rep, Slovenia, Poland etc to compete in the competition. Can you honestly say you would prefer 4 English teams, 3 Spanish, 2 Italians 1 other getting to the quater finals rather than seeing the likes of Red Star, Dynamo Kiev and Anderlecht(sp?) being the forces that they used to be? That to me would make a more entertaining competition. Anyway, thats maybe slightly off point. Sorry.

I already consider it a joke that you can finish 4th to get in to the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE let alone come 7th Liverpool are always in it, and have enev won it without winning the domestic league for however many years it is now. Look at some European countries that dont even guarantee you a place in the group stages even if you win your domestic league - yes they may not be as good, but at least they are Champions.

Not keen to be honest, sounds like they are just trying to stop people going on about the "big 4". Would rather it go to the Champions of the FA Cup myself. But then if that was won by a team in the top 3 places give it to the 4th league side, not the runners up of the cup.

It seems like although we took a heavy scoreline against us, everyone is ok with the defeat and was almost expecting it. I think you may have a little something pent up inside you. Perhaps you should realise that they are two leagues above us, and a better team than us. We needed to go for the equaliser or we would have been out anyway. And did we really need a replay in a cup we would never win?? They broke on us when we were pushing forward its what happens. No on blame Pards at all, I think the boys played well and made a good account of themselves, yes the scoreline was bad but they took the few chances they had whereas James made a few vital saves for them. No big shame in losing that game at all. Maybe when you calm down a bit you might realise that yourself.

Chelsea, Spuds, Man U all have DoFs. The most important thing that Sven would bring to US in a DoF role would be his contacts in the game. Say we want to take a kid from am Italian club (Not like Papa but a highly rated kid) on loan, Nicola at the moment who be the person to make that phone call. In most places around the world it would be "Nicola who sorry?" but if you had Sven making that call he would most likely already know and have a working relationship with the guy on the other end of the phone and would be much easier to get the club to agree. Also when signing a player from abroad having someone of Svens reputation (football, not the ladies ) to talk the club up would be a massive thing for us. He realistically would never be seen on the training ground he wouldn't be giving tactical advise and we wouldn't want him to. For me, as I said earlier in this thread I would love him to be involved here, just as long as he keeps himself out of the front pages a bit. (Much like he has at Notts County tbf)
