  1. Can someone more informed than I am tell me if I'm right or wrong?
  2. The fact remains that if Lander don't pass the FPPT they won't be allowed to buy the club. Apparently, the club were told they wouldn't, and then the stuff about Lander's head honcho being involved in a massive bribery scandal comes out. It doesn't exactly improve his chances does it. The authorities have rightly been criticised in the past for letting all sorts of crooks and chancers buy clubs. I think they are tightening up their act. From their perspective, Lander shouldn't be allowed to buy the club because they don't have a pot to ****** in and they have been involved in illegal activities (bribery) on a grand scale. I'm still hoping Lander are being used as a smokescreen to allow the real buyers privacy until the deal is signed. I just can't see how Lander will be allowed by the relevant authorities to own a Premier League club.
  3. F*ck me, Claude Puel must be sh*tting himself.
  4. If Puel 'resigns' because of his wife's inability to settle, then Les comes out of it ok.
  5. Apparently not, if you believe the stories.
  6. I thought the Lander deal was dead because the top man had been bribing some bent politician who was executed. Hardly looks good on your CV when trying to past the FPPT.
  7. To be fair, the season is almost over and it's not unreasonable to form a judgement, either way, on Puel now.
  8. She was even more woeful trying to explain it on the Daily Politics.
  9. He showed us absolutely zero respect when he was Liverpool manager, and i wouldn't want that pearly-toothed c*nt anywhere near our club.
  10. To be honest, I'm not sure how divided the fan base is. On here you have a handful of posters who respond to every negative post about Puel, which is fair enough. But to be honest, more or less everyone who I actually speak to, don't rate him. I don't think there would be demonstrations outside the ground if he was relieved of his duties.
  11. He was in the battlefield. It's not a tickling contest. Bloke risked his life for his country every day he was out there, and saw mates killed, and we treat him like that. Disgraceful.
  12. That's a really good point.
  13. It does seem to be one of the few Les Reed decisions that isn't working out that well. There haven't been that many, to be fair.
  14. Glad I'm on nights and missed the game.
  15. Apparently Puel had an argument with Ryan Bertrand over who had the hardest dad. Then everyone circled them shouting 'Fight fight'. Then Puel said 'yeah', then Bertrand said 'yeah'. Puel said 'you take the first shot' and Ryan said 'no, you take the first shot'. At that moment the ice-cream van arrived at Staplewood, and Les bought them both a 99 with sweets and sauce on.
  16. He's done ok considering the injuries he's had to deal with. The question is, do the board think he's done well enough up until now to improve us in the future? Is there a better alternative? Do we need some continuity? I reckon he deserves a fair crack of the whip.
  17. Great challenge on Cahill!
  18. F*cking ballwatchers. Sh*te.
  19. Very difficult job. I hope Puel proves me wrong on this one.
  20. Redmond has been excellent and doesn't deserve to be dropped. Boufal has shown nothing to warrant being selected.
  21. Ridiculous dropping Redmond for Boufal.
  22. Who gives a monkeys about Everton?
  23. Tony Blair banging on about Brexit like we didn't have a vote on it. I love golf as well! F*ck UKIP.
  24. I have always voted Labour. I voted for Brexit and I want the referendum vote to be seen through in the divorce deal with the EU. I'm not anti-immigration, but it's vital we have full control of our borders, and our elected government have full control over laws and policies. I absolutely will not be voting Labour in this election. The leadership is appalling and the party has been hijacked by Momentum. It's not a party that represents working people, just like the Union that I have been in for the last 23 years doesn't represent its members any more. Teresa May needs to offer decent policies on health, education and the economy. I am fed up to the back teeth of draconian cuts in public services. I am a million miles from ever voting Liberal or Green. On balance, I wouldn't be massively unhappy if whoever won the election delivered the Brexit deal I want. But throw in some decent policies elsewhere please.
