I don't think it's ridiculous. We look to sign players of a certain age, so we can sell them on for a large profit. All well and good, but don't you think it's gone a bit too far? Doesn't do much for continuity, and whilst the club are enjoying the massive TV deal, surely we're not that hard up.
Would we, for example, consider signing a 27 year old like Morgan? (My point is his age and talent, don't get into a debate about him per se). A really good proven player who would give us a good few years at this stage of his career. At the moment, I would have to say we wouldn't.
