What I don't understand is that Les has done a hell of a lot of good things for the club. He made a fantastic appointment in Koeman. Bit he is defending the indefensible here. This is a decent group of players that have played out of their skins for us in previous years. Are we saying the dressing room is wrong and Puel alone is right? I can't see it.
-
Koeman got us into Europe by finishing 6th in the league. Not a chance in hell of us getting anywhere near Europe next season under our car crash of a manager.
-
Cant see that. Black wasn't brought in as a translator. He goes way back with Puel and Reed seemed to rate him. It would have been considerably cheaper to just appoint a translator rather than Black.
-
Not sure about that. When I go, I hope it's quickly and not slow and drawn out.
-
Stood him in good stead for our European campaign didn't it. His management in those games was outstanding! Something I think we can all agree on. Les must be made up with him so far. Successful Euro campaign, fast-flowing attacking football ( the Southampton Way), an excited fanbase and a group of players who are firmly behind the manager he picked and would walk through walls for him. Great, isn't it? Don't think so.

They will spin the f*ck out of this to deflect away from the hopeless manager.
-
PR offensive from Reed to try and pacify the supporters. I am f*cking sick of us losing players. Fonte leaving in January would be ridiculous.
-
The future until the end of the season.

Black is being set up as the fall guy. But there is no way he could have that much influence over Puel.
-
Very well said Ron.

Fair play Jeff. Think it would be a bigger risk keeping a manager who has lost the dressing room than sacking him.

I reckon it's true. Heard about some rumblings a few weeks ago. Can't blame the players for being annoyed at the system and rotation, we can all see how bad it is. I'd rather they kicked off like this. At least it shows a level of pride in what they do. As I've said before, once a manager has lost the dressing room, it's only a matter of time....

He puts the cones out for training and gives out the bibs. Team selection and tactics are down to Puel. If he listens to Black, then that's down to him.

A formation that doesn't get the best out of the players he's got. Boring, turgid football that is painful to watch. Second half performances often worse than first - what does he say to them at half-time? Baffling substitutions (too many to list, but why drop Long deep against West Brom when we're chasing the game?). He doesn't seem capable of 'rallying the troops'. Looks obvious to me, that a number of first-teamers don't like the way we're playing. Reckon he's lost the dressing room. His over-rotation. Personally, I don't want him to buy players that fit that system. It's boring. I would probably go to games less and less. Unsurprisingly, it's an out from me.

Ralph Krueger; "The most interesting man in the world".

If the idea of his talk was to get the team playing for their manager, he got his answer in spades at 4:45. -
The ideal scenario for me, and quickly please.

Can we stop feeding the troll. He might get fed up and have a Tommy Tank when he thinks he can get away with it ,without his mum catching him.
-
Best investment we could make would be paying up Puel's contract. Hopefully he'll headbutt Fonte in training.
-
I think a new manager would get so much more from the squad we already have.
-
I can only speak for myself Jeff, but I was one of Koeman's biggest supporters, even when we went through that bad patch. I can't see Puel getting any better, I can't see the team getting better. I think he's lost the dressing room, and reckon the sooner he goes the better.
-
Bertrand, Boufal, Davis and Long on the bench. Wow, we must have a hell of a starting XI! Absolutely clueless.
-
Sorry, Puel is a f*cking idiot.
-
I don't buy this being forced to over-rotate. I think it's something Puel has learnt from Wenger, his mentor.
-
Les will be praying for a clean sheet today so he can justify taking Chelsea's cash. Not very likely though.

Chelsea players suddenly remembered how to play football last season after Mourinho left. As I've said before, once a manager has lost the dressing room, he is finished.
