  1. Great post. Trickle down economics just doesn't work.
  2. I wish. Been sporting a 6 inch parting for quite some time.
  3. Personally, I think Labour has moved a little from the right in recent years. No bad thing. Serious question pap, do you eat ReadyBrek, your avatar, if of you, suggests you do. You are also in desperate need of a haircut.
  4. Very pleased that Pelle is proving me wrong.
  5. Sharp as a marble.
  6. As galling as it was, it has had little effect on the property market.
  7. VAT is a regressive tax though. I know quite a few rich people who are very pleasant by the way.
  8. Dont agree with any of that. Total horsesh*t.
  9. The mansion tax will have far less effect on the payers and the housing market than the 3% stamp duty on properties sold for over £250k. The idea that poor people who have lived in their multi-million pound houses for years, and will find it tough to pay this tax is, quite frankly, laughable.
  10. I wouldn't call the football club just another workplace. If my company employed me from a youth, and in time paid me more money in a year than I could probably spend in a lifetime, I'd like to think I would give them some deserved loyalty. Face facts, a lot of footballers are just greedy c*nts.
  11. He won't do that, but play to his strengths, as we did against Chelsea, and he will worry even the toughest defences.
  12. Marshall from Cardiff was superb last season. He'd do for me.
  13. ...and so's my wife.
  14. It has been posted on here that apparently Ings wants to stay up north. Like you, I think this sounds like he would prefer to come here.
  15. Good shout. Though i have my doubts that we will keep JRod.
  16. It's going to be a free hit on the Tories and Liberals for all concerned. Sturgeon will be Ed's biggest problem.
  17. Schneiderlin was better in the second half against Hull without Wanyama.
  18. Because it's better jam today than jam tomorrow.
  19. That's the price of a free society. You can't have it both ways. Anyway, if they dropped 1 case and lost the other I don't see the problem.
  20. Don't see what's wrong with no win no fee myself. In the event of a lost case, the lawyers pick up the bill. If they didn't think there was a case to answer, they wouldn't take the case on. It's good that people who otherwise wouldn't be able to fund a claim can do so.
  21. The claim culture is a little different from those with genuine cases though.
  22. Brilliant, all that will do would be to increase the price of houses even more. This would have the effect of making it even more difficult for first-time buyers. Downsizers being exempt from stamp-duty is just another idea from the selfish baby boomer generation, who have already had the best of everything from the state (my parents included).
